Logitech BCC950 ConferenceCam review
Although it's not cheap by consumer standards, Logitech's BCC950 ConferenceCam is an excellent solution for businesses wanting to get into video communication without going to the much greater expense of installing traditional room-based systems.- Smart-looking
- reasonably flexible design
- High-quality audio and video
- No drivers required
- Works with a range of video conferencing applications
- PTZ control via base unit or supplied remote
- Expensive compared to consumer HD webcams
- No monitor attachment for camera
- Pan-tilt movement could be smoother
Businesses strive to increase collaboration and decrease spending, but accomplishing both at the same time can be challenging - particularly when team members aren't in the same location.
Logitech BCC950 ConferenceCam
No matter how much we would like to see a cheap camera with a dazzling performance backed up by excellent features, we can't. Those which are affordable have a poor performance in general. And those that cost a lot are known to deliver a majority of goodies.
Great Webcam for small-mid sized conference rooms
The camera was not meant to work with Logitech software. Disagree with the other reviewer, this product is for IT pro's in a corporate environment, but it is for those without big budgets.- Reasonably fast autofocus, nice depth of view
- Ideal for meeting rooms with less 20 people
- Have not found any other PTZ camera in the sub $500 range
- The remote is very choppy, better off using the buttons instead
- Have not found a way for remote site to control PTZ, but that's more a function of the software
- A little disappoint in the audio of the unit, wound up using a separate speakerphone 95% of the time

Incredible for group videoconferencing
A really valuable investment for my school system!- The remote with HD camera allows for all to be seen easily
- The built in echo cancelling microphone and speaker, however, really makes the difference over any other webcam I've seen for group videoconferencing!
- No weaknesses I've come across

Logitech BCC950 ConferenceCam review
The Logitech BCC950 ConferenceCam is a video-conferencing camera aimed at business users. It takes a lot of its stylistic cues from conference room phones, with a large speaker and microphone grille built into the base.
