Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a cultural juggernaut, but it isn't without its detractors. It may be a rollicking adventure, many say, but a lot of it feels like a retread. Characters, locations, and story beats echoed those of the very first Star Wars film, with even the movie's creators...

Two thousand five, the year that Star Wars , for all intents and purposes, closed the prequel loop with Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith , was the same year that LEGO Star Wars , and in essence the entire LEGO video-game idea, began.

Star Wars fans and Lego fans will no doubt find plenty here to enjoy and go for 100 percent competition. For everyone else, it's still a fun little time waster, but don't expect The Force Awakens to change your mind about the Lego game series.

Much like the film, this is more a testament to what worked before than a genuinely new experience, but it makes the best of its voice cast and an obvious love for Star Wars.

LEGO video games have been around for nearly 20 years. The LEGO Star Wars games have been around for at least half of that. Which makes LEGO Star Wars, by itself, one of the longest-running series in video gaming, believe it or not. One game every two years for the past 10 years.

I got this as a gift for someone. He said he did enjoy playing and has played a few times since purchase. I got this on offer, and to be honest, even as a gift, I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't on offer. Quite overpriced in my opinion.

It's your typical fun little lego game set to the star wars universe. The only gripe I have with it is that with the exception of the flight controls, the player is unable to invert the camera for aiming which makes game play, for people like me, a pain when trying to aim your weapons.
