Let the fan service flow - LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Review

LEGO games have been as consistent as Call of Duty over the past few years. Included in this list are Jurassic World, Lord of the Rings, LEGO Movie, as well as both Marvel and DC, so it's not a surprise that developer TT Games would tackle the largest property in the universe - Star Wars.

Authentic look and sound; New voice recording from the cast; Roster in excess of 200 characters; Not just bound to TFU storyline; Equal parts heart and humor

Audio glitches; Puzzle trigger problems; New mechanic adds very little

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Review – Another Brick in the Wall (PS4)

Taking down the First Order brick by brick.

LEGO video games have been around for nearly 20 years. The LEGO Star Wars games have been around for at least half of that. Which makes LEGO Star Wars, by itself, one of the longest-running series in video gaming, believe it or not. One game every two years for the past 10 years.

Rey of Sunshine.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a cultural juggernaut, but it isn't without its detractors. It may be a rollicking adventure, many say, but a lot of it feels like a retread. Characters, locations, and story beats echoed those of the very first Star Wars film, with even the movie's creators...

Great use of the Star Wars universe; Kid-friendly gameplay; Some genuinely funny moments

Extra levels will take some effort to unlock; Not much different to the typical Lego game formula

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Two thousand five, the year that Star Wars , for all intents and purposes, closed the prequel loop with Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith , was the same year that LEGO Star Wars , and in essence the entire LEGO video-game idea, began.

Star Wars fans and Lego fans will no doubt find plenty here to enjoy and go for 100 percent competition. For everyone else, it's still a fun little time waster, but don't expect The Force Awakens to change your mind about the Lego game series.

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens review – Tell that to Lego Club

Much like the film, this is more a testament to what worked before than a genuinely new experience, but it makes the best of its voice cast and an obvious love for Star Wars.

As charming and funny as ever, and Star Wars fits the Lego game formula better than most; Cover system works well and the non-film story missions are great, if short

None of the new gimmicks are very substantial and the film's plot is stretched far too thin; especially as the extra story missions are so difficult to unlock

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens

A fun adventure in the Star Wars universe, badly let down by too many game-breaking glitches.

Loves Star Wars and everything within it; Great mix of abilities makes all characters fun to play; Lego BB-8!

So many glitches; So many

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Review

Riding Solo.

Feels more modern; Looks great; Some good laughs

New tricks are used too often; Very familiar
