Jump Force Review – PS4

Jump Force tries once again to bring characters from the most popular Shonan Jump franchises together, but once again fails to find balance with its characters and its mechanics. There is fun to be had, but when you dig deep into Jump Force it starts to show just how unpolished it truly is.

Jump Force Review – It's All About The Fan-Service

Jump Force is a game entirely about fan-service and wish-fulfilment, and it is unashamed in that. Neither is th...

Worth the price tag on collectors as a collector.

The statue is amazing. It's so light weight but incredibly durable. The figures each mount so week you can literally flip this upside down so no stability issues. All three look great, which if you know anything about Naruto statues... this is a steal to include a decent one in here haha.

Jump Force: "An ambitious brawler that suffers from something of an identity crisis"

I always suspected anime would lead to the end of the world, and I was right – at least in Jump Force, Bandai Namco's crossover brawler...

Huge roster of manga and anime legends; Impressive; anime-accurate super moves

Overcomplicated controls; with blocking and dodging feel random; Messy story and mission integration; Does it want to be a fighter An RPG Story driven Who knows

Jump Force Review

There have been 50 years of Shonen Jump and that is truly astonishing. The sheer volume of manga that have seen the light of day because of this publication is astounding. It wouldn't be wrong to say that many of the series that have run in have been an integral part of anime coming to the west.

Fighting with a moderate force - Jump Force review

Jump Force is an interesting showcase for anime crossover fights. The story is very shallow and repetitive, but the combat is still enjoyable. Characters suffer from odd design choices, but the Japanese voice acting is great. - Codi Spence

Combat is enjoyable; Varied character choices; Japanese voice acting is cool; Online functions well

Story is extremely shallow; Combat gets repetitive; Characters look and feel one-dimensional; One shared health bar between teams ruins some of the mechanics

Jump Force review

If you didn't know your One Piece from your Naruto before, this probably isn't the fighting game you've been waiting for. Jump Force is unapologetically for the fans, with little to ease you into each character's expansive back story. The stilted cutscenes and frozen facial expressions might mimic the comics, but they look pretty basic on a 4K telly. It's a fun fighter, but a simple one, where flashy special moves break up the action and combos are relatively basic. Sure, they'll still take you time to master, and with so many characters to choose from there's plenty here for anyone looking to learn, but it just doesn't feel like there's as much depth here as there is in rival fighting games. Still, if screen-filling special effects and bug-eyed teens with the power of elasticity are your thing, you've come to the right place.

Suitably bonkers story mode; Expansive character roster; Simple controls and easy-to-access mechanics;

Shonky cutscenes; Not as in-depth as other fighters; Feels poorly optimised;
