Like it so far...

I bought my husband the Gorillapod for Christmas. We go hiking a lot and like to take pictures when we're out. It will certainly come in handy for that when summer comes. But when we tried to use it to take some family Christmas photos in our home, it didn't work so well.

Joby Gorillapod

A tripod is an essential accessory for anyone who cares about their photography. It's the only thing that can totally eliminate camera shake, even on very long exposures, and as I've noted before the action of setting up a camera and tripod has the effect of forcing you to think about your shot...

Joby Gorillapod SLR review

Matty Graham reviews this handy camera support £40 The Gorillapod is lightweight, has a quick release plate and can hold up to 800g (the larger SLR Zoom can support 3kg). What makes this support special is the flexible legs that can be splayed like a tripod or wrapped around trees or posts.

Zev Ronso's Most Useful Camera Tripod

A fantastic tripod for those photographers that would like to get rid of the common photography problems such as motion blur or lack of focus.

An easily transportable and affordable tripod

Unfortunately it only reaches heights of about 6 inches

Decent for price

I'm pretty happy with the Gorillapod. Just to note, it's a bit smaller then I was expecting, not that that's really an issue for my use.

Gorillapod = sweet pics

it weighs nothing and takes up no space, and means that you can take group shots without leaving someone out or having an obnoxious forearm in the picture. Usually takes a bit to get it to stand and balance but there is really nothing that it can't be afixed to, weather it be in the mountains or in...

Rugged; Simple; Reliable

As a powersports photographer, I've been looking for a portable light stand to bring along on rides that provides me with the durability I need in extreme conditions as well as functionality and portability.

Overall the experience left a bad taste.

The Joby works fine. I ordered a package the joby plus a few freebies and did not get the freebies. I contacted Adorama and said that they would fix it. Except when I came from vacation they said I had to send it back, in order to get the freebies.

Handy tripod

I bought this after passing it up for the less-expensive Dynex knockoff. After that one quickly failed, I forked over the extra cash for the Gorillapod. This small tripod has strong, easily maneuverable legs.

Solid and good grip

high price; awkward bubble level position

Joby Gorillapod Hybrid Review

I love taking night or long exposure photos; however, keeping your camera still is always the issue. There are tips and tricks to hand-hold and steady your camera, but often with long exposures, they're still not good enough.

-Small; light; and portable; -Integrated ballhead; -Wraps and grips around a whole range of objects; -Easily creates a stable; level platform both horizontally and vertically

-Pan without tilt a little bit awkward; -Unknown how the joints and rubber will perform long term
