Durable and surprisingly loud; great for outdoor use.
A little oddly designed for something to use around the house.
This new speaker from JBL matches the RRP of its predecessor yet features enhanced drivers and bass radiators. These are added to achieve a more immersive and bigger stereo sound performance. It has an IP67 rating that’s higher compared to that of the Xtreme 2’s IPX7.
Fantastic sound quality with a rugged design - this speaker is waterproof and can withstand dirt and dust so will be good to use outside. Extra features include smartphone charging, PartyBoost to pair two speakers together and even a bottle opener.
15 hours of battery life; Loud; punchy sound; Waterproof and dustproof
A bit awkward to carry; No speakerphone like in the JBL Xtreme 2; The app is a bit pointless
JBL's Xtreme 3 speaker delivers robust bass depth in a rugged, waterproof build ideal for outdoor gatherings.
Powerful; bass-forward audio with four drivers and dual passive radiators; Outdoor-friendly waterproof build; Can be linked with multiple JBL speakers
Expensive; No speakerphone function
You might assume the JBL Xtreme 3 is a crude bass-heavy party speaker from its look and name, but it's surprisingly refined. It's a great option if the idea of multi-room audio and digital assistant support leaves you cold.
Great sound quality; Deeper bass than the Xtreme 2; Highly portable despite substantial size
Almost no smart features; Sound isn't quite as measured as the Xtreme 2's
The JBL Xtreme 3 is bigger and more powerful than any other entry on this list. It weighs well over 4 pounds (almost 2 more than the Sony SRS-XB33), but the thunderous sound it offers make the extra bulk worth dealing with. You can order the product in black, blue, or with a camouflage pattern.
The JBL Xtreme 3 is a great set of speakers if you are not only moving around your house a lot but also on the go outdoors and want loud, resounding sound to follow you everywhere.
Loud, bassy audio, Waterproof and dustproof, Bluetooth and AUX connectivity, Long battery life, Portable
No EQ options, Expensive
JBL Xtreme 3 is a good alternative to the heavy Boombox 2, and only half as expensive.
Plays mightily tough and loud. Massive and well controlled bass. Can be paired with multiple speakers. Shoulder strap included.
A little too bass heavy for our taste, and no app control.
The JBL Xtreme 3 is a versatile and talented wireless speaker that’s as happy chilling at home as it is being the life and soul of a party
Rugged build, Impressive detail and dynamics, Strong sense of timing
No smart features, No hands-free for phone calls
