the majority of games I tried to play simply couldn't run properly even though the CPU fits requirements, so if you are trying to build/upgrade your gaming PC i wouldn't recommend

This cpu performs well for the price. No problems at all. Does run a little hot with the standard Intel heatsink and fan. I would suggest you get a better cooling solution. I am using the Cryorig M9i which is only $45 at PB Tech. A little difficult to install this cooler, but worth it.
Was a little disappointed Pb tech isn’t stocking the 11400f, on the plus side the on board graphics allows you to save up and wait out the graphics card fiasco. The 11400f is the best bang for buck (if you have a graphics card) and the 11400 is great bang for buck under the circumstances.
perfect buy during pbtech annual birthday. Cant wait for gpu shortage to end so I can upgrade my pc
I was going for an i7 at first but suprisingly got downsold to an i5 by the salesperson Mark at Manukau. He took the time to identify my needs, mostly admin work with some video editing and graphic design, and recommended this instead. Showing me the estimate performance I could expect and how it surpassed my old i7-6700 by a significant margin. Having installed it I can say it's an excellent choice, performing as promised and not consuming as much power nor generating much heat if I had gone for an i7 instead. And of course saving me money in the overall budget.
