HyperX Cloud Mix over-ear wireless headset review
HyperX has hit a home run with the HyperX Cloud Mix headset. The headset is comfortable, well-designed, and sounds great, making it an excellent option for gamers that want a headset they can use in daily life too. There is a problem though - and that's price.
I can hear everything - HyperX Cloud MIX review
Gaming accessories come in all shapes and sizes, including headsets, pro controllers, charging docks, and more. They aren't necessary, but they typically enhance and improve the gaming experience. Personally, headsets are my favorite type of gaming accessory, especially for online multiplayer games.- Crisp
- clean sound
- Wired or Bluetooth connections available
- Durable frame and cushioned ear-cups
- Can feel too snug at times
Review: HyperX's Cloud Mix headset successfully bridges home, mobile & gaming
People who only care about the mobile half of the equation, and/or gym use, will probably want to stick to something like AirPods or Jaybirds, as the Cloud Mix's size, heat, and control limitations probably aren't balanced by the extra fidelity.
HyperX Cloud MIX wired gaming headset with Bluetooth review
REVIEW – If you have kids and you haven't been hiding under a rock, your child has probably been playing one of those "battle royale" type games, such as Fortnite or PUBG. My now 12-year-old son is no different.
HyperX Cloud MIX Headset Review
The Cloud MIX as the name suggests is not just for PC use though, it is designed as a gaming headset that you can use on your PC, console, mobile device, etc. It features not only Bluetooth wireless connectivity, but a wired connection too, so HyperX is hoping this is the all-around headset for...- – Best allaround headset we've seen
- – Great sound quality
- – Very comfortable
- – Solid design
- – No layflat design
- – Controls on the headset are inactive when used in wired mode
HyperX Cloud Mix review: Pivoting to a mobile lifestyle brand brings mixed results
The HyperX Cloud Mix is a weird experiment, and one I don't think is entirely successful. It's expensive, the logo is obnoxious, and splitting the difference between wired gaming headset and mobile Bluetooth means HyperX doesn't really nail either market.
HyperX Cloud Mix review: Pivoting to a mobile lifestyle brand brings mixed results
Bridging the gap between wired gaming headset and mobile Bluetooth headset, the HyperX Cloud Mix doesn't quite nail either.- Pretty solid audio fidelity when plugged in
- Standard HyperX comfort
- Charges quickly and lasts for 20 hours on the go
- Why would you use it plugged in
- On-headset controls only work in Bluetooth mode
- As expensive as buying two discrete devices
- one wired and one...
HyperX Cloud MIX Wired Gaming Headset with Bluetooth Review
Bass. The final frontier. Well, it seems that way, with many headphones and gaming headsets these days tuned to a very bass-heavy sound that has the potention to reduce the overall realism of the sound while simultaneously making many users quite happy.
HyperX Cloud MIX review: hybrid gaming headset with more BOOM for your buck
The HyperX Cloud MIX is the latest gaming headset from the range which has provided us with some of the absolute best ear-blasters in the business, and that from a company that actually made its name in RAM.
HyperX Cloud Mix
And if you simply want a pair of Bluetooth headphones for music, meanwhile, the Sennheiser HD 4.40 BT remains a fantastic value, and the Marshall Major III Bluetooth stands as another good performer.- Excellent audio quality
- Very clear boom mic
- Solid, comfortable design
- Uses pinhole microphone instead of boom in Bluetooth mode
- No USB sound card included
