Having recently told you about an A3 printer that was little bigger than an A4 unit here this is not only larger and faster it has two built in paper trays and can easily serve a whole office via Wi-Fi and Ethernet and even print remotely.

I have not purchase a HP printer in many years. This is a very good low price machine. The resolution is great, the software is eary (Scanning) and the machine is fast. No remorse with this purchase.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 ($249.99) is a hefty all-in-one inkjet that can handle printing, copying, and scanning documents up to 11 by 17 inches, and can fax letter-size documents as well. Similar in price, paper capacity, and maximum duty cycle to the Editors' Choice Brother MFC-J5720DW ($1,299.99 at Amazon) , the 7740 has good enough speed and output quality to replace that capable Brother printer as our current Editors' Choice. Design and Features The 7740 is large and heavy, measuring 15.1 by 23 by 18 inches (HWD) and weighing 42.9 pounds, so it's best kept on a table or bench of its own and moved by two people. Its standard paper capacity is 500 sheets of up to tabloid-size (11-by-17) paper, split between two 250-sheet trays. It has a maximum monthly duty cycle of 30,000 pages and a recommended monthly duty cycle of up to 1,500 sheets. It includes an auto-duplexer for two-sided printing. The HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 all-in-one inkjet has a winning combination of low price, excellent output quality, and the ability to print, scan, and copy documents up to tabloid size (11 by 17).
Fast; Low price; Above-par output across the board; Good text quality; PCL and PostScript drivers; Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and wireless direct connectivity; ADF supports single-pass two-sided scanning
Relatively large and heavy; Doesn't have the lowest running costs in its class
Printers are one of those things you really wish you didn't need to use but they do come in handy from time to time. Businesses are especially in need of a good printer and the HP Officejet Pro 7740 is an ideal size for a small office that doesn't skimp on the functions.
Ideal size for a small office; not too big and doesn't sacrifice functions; fast printing
Initial setup takes a bit longer than I would have liked; though it may have been my network settings
This printer was so easy to set up and start using. I needed to scan 11 x 17 size and many scanners I looked at were too expensive and only scanned. This was a great price and quality for what I need. I have been using it (on network - not wired) for about a month now. Very happy with this purchase.
The printer did everything needed until it stopped working
The printer suddenly stopped working and showed an error message to call HP There is no immediate support line for HP; I cannot afford to wait for them to call back; The printer was therefore returned
This machine is easy to setup. We are a drafting company and most of our work is done on 24 x 36 paper. Hence, most of our need for scanning and printing is on tabloid (11x17) paper. If you are using regular 8.5 x 11 paper, this machine is great!
Easy to Use
paper tray sticks out for tabloid; scans need to be manually aligned; tray feeder does not accept 11 x 17
It's okay and does things okay. Software and interface is poor. And forever needing a reboot because the printer can't be found. So bad, that HP actually have a printer doctor software to download so you can spend your time correcting issues that shouldn't be there in the first place.
Good Product, working well
