FUJIFILM XF f/4 R OIS WR Lens review

Slightly better cameras but otherwise, not much of an update - buy the iPhone 14 Pro or switch to Android instead

Better low-light photography, Slightly longer battery life, Action mode gives super stabilised video

The same performance as the iPhone 13, No Dynamic Island or Always-On display, 60Hz screen

FUJIFILM XF f/4 R OIS WR Lens review

The iPhone 14 comes to market with the same launch price as the previous generation. At the same time, iPhone connoisseurs were more than disillusioned after the presentation of the new smartphone. Apple leaves large parts of the hardware unchanged and does not dare to change the design.

Top performance level despite last year's chip, Very high quality workmanship, Improved image and video quality, Excellent battery life

Hardly any innovations, Charging takes too long for 2022

FUJIFILM XF f/4 R OIS WR Lens review

A slight camera upgrade, new emergency features, and... not a whole lot else

Better selfie camera, Good battery life, Crash detection and satellite SOS are neat

It’s more like an iPhone 13S, Display is still 60Hz, eSIM transition will be easy for most but painful for some

FUJIFILM XF f/4 R OIS WR Lens review

It’s a great handset, but the improvements are so iterative that most of you will hardly notice what’s new.

Action mode offers truly superb video stabilization. eSIM makes it easy to switch phones (with other iPhones). Satellite SOS and Crash Detection add peace of mind.

Many of the specs remain the same as on the iPhone 13. Small battery gains. Photonic Engine isn’t as revolutionary as suggested.

Fujifilm Fujinon XF 16-80mm F4 R OIS WR Review

The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 16-80mm F4 R OIS WR ($799.95) comes in between the basic starter zoom lenses for entry-level cameras and high-end f/2.8 options in both pricing and features. It's got a longer zoom range than the company's first lens of this type, the XF 18-55mm F2.8-4, but costs just $100 more. It's good enough for existing system owners to mull it over as an upgrade to replace their current zoom, and should be the first choice for most photographers buying into the Fujifilm X camera system.A Sturdy, Weather-Protected Build The XF 16-80mm is about average size for a standard zoom with its coverage range. It measures 3.5 by 3.1 inches (HD) and weighs 15.5 ounces. As with most zooms of this type, the lens features a telescoping design, extending out farther from the camera body as you zoom in. It's purpose-built for Fujifilm's APS-C camera system, where it covers the wide end of a standard angle through a short telephoto focal range. Its angle of view matches a 24-120mm zoo...

The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 16-80mm F4 R OIS WR covers a bigger zoom range than basic starter lenses, but is still available as a discounted add-on in camera kits.

All-weather build; Strong optical performance; Aperture control ring; 1:4 macro focus; Minimal breathing; Optical stabilization

Front element omits anti-smudge coating; Edge resolution suffers at f/4

FUJIFILM XF f/4 R OIS WR Lens review

With the partial caveat regarding edge sharpness under some circumstances, overall the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR lens put in a pretty sparkling performance. Above all, it has proved to be an incredibly useful range of focal lengths and I could easily imagine this lens staying firmly...

Very high central sharpness, Virtually zero CA, Superb flare resistance, Excellent handling, Quality manufacture, Low distortion, Low vignetting, Constant f/4 maximum aperture

Edge sharpness, Slightly indistinct aperture click stops

FUJIFILM XF f/4 R OIS WR Lens review

The Apple iPhone 14 isn’t a huge upgrade on the iPhone 13, yet it still is a great phone with a top camera, good battery life and all the iOS benefits.

Clever safety features, Very good battery life, Reliable camera, Fun colours, You’ve got an ageing iPhone: If you’re on an iPhone 11 or older, then the changes here will make a notable difference.

Stuck on a 60Hz display, Minimal differences to the iPhone 13, You’ve got an iPhone 13: The changes from Apple’s previous phone aren’t enough to warrant an upgrade this year.

FUJIFILM XF f/4 R OIS WR Lens review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

FUJIFILM XF f/4 R OIS WR Lens review

“The iPhone 14 isn't a huge upgrade compared to its predecessor. But with a great design, screen, performance, and cameras, that's far from a bad thing at all.”

Comfortable, high-end build, OLED screen looks fantastic, A15 chip performs great, Good camera upgrades, Dependable battery life, Helpful safety features

60Hz display, No telephoto camera, eSIM might be a pain for some

FUJIFILM XF f/4 R OIS WR Lens review

The iPhone 14 isn’t much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it’s still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades
