FUJIFILM X-H2 Mirrorless Camera with 16-80mm Lens - Brand New review

After testing both of Fujifilm’s latest cameras, I think the X-H2 is a better option for most people simply because it’s a better value. While not as fast as the X-H2S, it offers an ideal balance between image quality and speed.

FUJIFILM X-H2 Mirrorless Camera with 16-80mm Lens - Brand New review

The Fujifilm X-H2 is a fully-featured workhorse-like enthusiast and pro-enticing camera with a resolution for both stills and video. Not everyone needs a full-frame sensor and the performance of the 40-megapixel APS-C chip in this camera will tick enough boxes for many, especially at this price.
Pros:
  • Tank-like construction, High stills and video resolution, Compatible with a broad range of lenses, Reasonably priced for the feature set provided
Cons:
  • APS-C sensor rather than full-frame, Cooling fan is an optional extra, No 120fps 4K capture option

FUJIFILM X-H2 Mirrorless Camera with 16-80mm Lens - Brand New review

Fujifilm’s ground-breaking APS-C camera is a powerful performer when it comes to both photo and video – and it’s available at a reasonable price.
Pros:
  • Superb detail from compact APS-C body, 8K and Apple ProRes video recording, You value detail above all : Pair the X-H2’s 40-megapixel sensor with a good quality lens and the result is detail – lots of it. It can also capture pristine-looking 8K video.
Cons:
  • Not the best low-light performer, Pricey CFexpress Type B card required for some functions, You shoot in all conditions: The X-H2 isn’t the best for low-light shooting
  • if you’re a night owl you’ll want to look at the X-H2S instead.

Fujifilm X-H2 review: Less speed, more resolution

We think the X-H2 is one of the best APS-C cameras on the market today. If you don't shoot slow-motion video or high-speed bursts, you can get much of the X-H2S experience at a significantly lower price. Plus, it has advantages of its own, like more detailed images and 8K recording.
Pros:
  • The highest-resolution ASP-C sensor on the market, 8K video capture, Internal ProRes recording, 160MP pixel shift multi-shot, Significantly cheaper than the X-H2S
Cons:
  • Rolling shutter is noticeable at 8K, No 4K 120fps shooting, Still expensive for an APS-C body
