Fujifilm X-H2 field test – does size matter?

FUJIFILM X-H2 Mirrorless Camera with 16-80mm Lens - Brand New review
After testing both of Fujifilm’s latest cameras, I think the X-H2 is a better option for most people simply because it’s a better value. While not as fast as the X-H2S, it offers an ideal balance between image quality and speed.
FUJIFILM X-H2 Mirrorless Camera with 16-80mm Lens - Brand New review
The Fujifilm X-H2 is a fully-featured workhorse-like enthusiast and pro-enticing camera with a resolution for both stills and video. Not everyone needs a full-frame sensor and the performance of the 40-megapixel APS-C chip in this camera will tick enough boxes for many, especially at this price.- Tank-like construction, High stills and video resolution, Compatible with a broad range of lenses, Reasonably priced for the feature set provided
- APS-C sensor rather than full-frame, Cooling fan is an optional extra, No 120fps 4K capture option
FUJIFILM X-H2 Mirrorless Camera with 16-80mm Lens - Brand New review
Fujifilm revived the hybrid X-H series in 2022 with a pair of nearly identical models, the X-H2 and X-H2S Fujifilm X-H2S . These two Mirrorless Digital Cameras are externally identical yet use two different 5th-generation APS-C sensors.FUJIFILM X-H2 Mirrorless Camera with 16-80mm Lens - Brand New review
The Fujifilm X-H2 is great for landscape photography. Its high-resolution sensor captures an incredible amount of detail, which is great for making large-scale prints and gives you more leeway to crop in your photos.- Sturdy, weather-sealed construction., High-res sensor produces incredibly detailed photos., Wide dynamic range., Great battery life.
- Not very portable., Low light noise handling is just okay.
Fujifilm X-H2 (Review Fujifilm X-H2)
This creative powerhouse captures 40MP photos and 8K ProRes video- Stabilized 40MP image sensor, Speedy autofocus with subject recognition, 15fps mechanical shutter, Magnesium chassis with dust and splash protection, ProRes video, Film Simulation looks
- Long-form 8K requires an add-on fan, 160MP multi-shot befuddled by motion
FUJIFILM X-H2 Mirrorless Camera with 16-80mm Lens - Brand New review
Fujifilm’s ground-breaking APS-C camera is a powerful performer when it comes to both photo and video – and it’s available at a reasonable price.- Superb detail from compact APS-C body, 8K and Apple ProRes video recording, You value detail above all : Pair the X-H2’s 40-megapixel sensor with a good quality lens and the result is detail – lots of it. It can also capture pristine-looking 8K video.
- Not the best low-light performer, Pricey CFexpress Type B card required for some functions, You shoot in all conditions: The X-H2 isn’t the best for low-light shooting
- if you’re a night owl you’ll want to look at the X-H2S instead.
Fujifilm X-H2 review: Less speed, more resolution
We think the X-H2 is one of the best APS-C cameras on the market today. If you don't shoot slow-motion video or high-speed bursts, you can get much of the X-H2S experience at a significantly lower price. Plus, it has advantages of its own, like more detailed images and 8K recording.- The highest-resolution ASP-C sensor on the market, 8K video capture, Internal ProRes recording, 160MP pixel shift multi-shot, Significantly cheaper than the X-H2S
- Rolling shutter is noticeable at 8K, No 4K 120fps shooting, Still expensive for an APS-C body

The Fujifilm X-H2 provides quality performance, high resolution for stills and video with a relatively compact camera body that can be used with a very wide range of lenses.FUJIFILM X-H2 Mirrorless Camera with 16-80mm Lens - Brand New review
