(PlayStation 4 Review) Tekken 7

Tekken 7 feels great, plays great, and looks great, but the lack of a proper tutorial or challenge modes will leave many players feeling rudderless. The cast is large, varied, and now customizable.

Review: ‘Tekken 7' has some slight issues, but really makes up for it where it counts

‘Tekken 7' is pretty lacking in flaws. Most of its issues can be overlooked, like its long install time, unskippable Arcade Mode intros, lackluster storytelling, and possibly the longest EULA ever. It's still a very dense game with a lot more content than you'd expect from a fighter.

With the release of Dragon Ball FighterZ , Akira Toriyama's classic series has found a form of representation to rival its comics and cartoons. FighterZ looks and feels like the most faithful representation of the Dragon Ball universe we've seen in video games.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Review – Fast and Flashy Fighting Fun

Dragon Ball FighterZ is the culmination of a legendary franchise, packing fast-paced combat and graphics faithful to the source material. With a legacy that spans decades across all forms of media, Dragon Ball is one of the largest Japanese media franchises around.

Easy to pick up; Looks as good as it plays; Lots of ways to play

Could use more characters; Story mode a bit repetitive

Tekken 7: "A powerful, gratifying, deeply cinematic fighting game"

Despite some narrative missteps, Tekken 7 is still a compelling, exhilarating experience. Find the right sparring partner and it will entertain you indefinitely.

Gorgeous; immediate brawling that will make you feel amazing; Fine selection of characterful; varied fighters; It hasn't changed much in 20 years

The story mode is disappointing; It hasn't changed much in 20 years

Tekken 7 is a fantastic fighting game when taken on its sheer fundamentals. People who are already well-versed in the genre will find a lot to chew on here: nuanced gameplay mechanics to learn, lots of characters to try out, and lots of neat cosmetic upgrades and historical extras to unlock.

Dragon Ball FighterZ review

DBZ superfan Ben Wilson checks out the latest game in the big hair, high power, slow-mo reaction shot franchise.

The banter between old friends and enemies as they fight is great; It's very accessible, so expect plenty of mega blasts

The main menu's online connection is tenuous; The narrative framing is clumsy and unnecessary

Ruling With An Iron Fist

Tekken 7 has been a long time coming. After releasing the game in arcades two years ago, Bandai Namco has been building up to the home version since, adding new characters and improving polish and balance.
