Used this switch so I'd only have to run 1 cable from the basement for all the ports on my 2nd floor. Didn't want to have to have the switch out in the open nor did I want to add a power outlet in the eves.

Easy to use web management and very low power consumption.
Gigabit switch uses only 3W of electricity. You can experiment with VLAN and other networking features.
This switch was designed from very beginning for small and home office use, featuring only 5 local access network ports. If you need to connect more than 5 devices together, you must upgrade to a different model.
Switch features 5 1000 Gigabit ports; Simplistic industrial design, sturdy body made of metal, ability to wall mount it and secure with kensington lock, included power supply; This is a "smart" switch and it detects link status and length of the ethernet cable and accordingly adjusts power usage.
I could not find any significant cons; If I had to choose new switch for my home, my choice would fall on this D-Link witch
