Looks like a lot of people are having problems with Corsair PSUs buzzing when there computer is on and off by looking at their forums. Each guy gets a different answer from the same two forum reps.
Trying to think of some pros and honestly can't think of any; The monitoring software is nice but even it's not the best; Fan test button is nice
I don't know even where to begin; I ended up going through 2 RMAs due to my PSU buzzing when my computer was on and off; Called corsair multiple times; They are a bunch of monkeys over there or something because each one told me something different; One told me to buy a UPS which would fix the buzz.
When it comes to building a new PC most of your focus is going to be on things like your video card, your CPU, SSDs, and maybe your case. That is because those are the components that affect the performance of your PC and with your case, it is the most visible component.
I have yet to have any problems with this product (and will update this review if that changes). I like that the cables are all black (they will go with any theme), but they are quite stiff. Getting them bent around the tight corners in my case was a bit of a trick, but it is manageable.
- Modular; - enough power for most applications; - black cables (with sleeved cables available separately
- large green light indicating the fan is on; - stiff cables
The HX850i has a tad bit more power than my system needs, but provides room for expansion if needed. No complaints and works like a charm. I also love the LINK software which provides me information about temps, voltage of not only the PSU, but my entire system.
Great choice for any build
Great build quality; quiet operation; Corsair Link; lots of cables (all black) I've had 5 or so Corsair PSUs in the past; and have never had any issues
Fairly stiff cables
The main unit is longer than my previous power supply, but I have a massive Thermaltake Armor+ case. Cables are easy to route and its fully modular so you add what you use. It has a USB header connector so you can hook it up and monitor the temperatures and voltages.
I had ordered an HX750 that FedEx lost so I bought this one at Micro Center because I was too impatient to wait for the FedEx claim resolution. There are plenty of cables in the kit, the power supply itself feels nice and sturdy.
Ive been running my duel video card pc nonstop for 5 months with this power supply unit and i have no had any issues so far.
