The Canon Speedlite 270EX II Flash takes over the small/light/inexpensive position in Canon's flash lineup, replacing the Canon Speedlite 270EX Flash , which not long ago supplanted the Canon Speedlite 220EX Flash .
This unit is an good upgrade from the basic flash included on most DSLRs. However it may leave you wanting a better flash when you see what some of...
Good Price; Portable; Can act as wireless remote; Can flash wirelessly as well; Includes stand
Flash output is weak at times; but still better than the stock flash on a DSLR
I am a real estate agent and enjoy taking photos of homes. Sometimes the interior photos are difficult to capture without a light boost. I love how easy this headlight is to attach to my camera and brighten up the room perfectly. It does drain your battery so have an extra one on hand.
Works perfectly for the type of photography that I do. Good coverage without having to carry the more powerfull flash units
I purchased this flash due to the size for my full frame camera and I was pleased with the results. The flash is powerful yet compact.
I Purchased the Speedlight 270 EXII and was in hopes to use it as a secondary flash. I took a trip to Thailand for three weeks and I found out to my surprise that I was using the 270 EXII as my primary flash during the daylight to brighten faces.
Small size, good flash coverage, cost, Tilt - Zoom capability, slave capable, Worked Very well on my G-16 and 18-300mm Tamron lens on my Canon 80D; Easy in / off capable
Battery life could be better, but not to bad; Carry an extra set of 2 if expecting extended shooting
270EX II is a great flash for the price. It's better than the built in flash on my Canon T1i. Tilting it all the way to the top gives a nice even fill to the room. The remote trigger feature is awesome. Don't need an additional remote for group photos. Built is sturdy.
Compact; Easy To Use; Lightweight
This is a great little flash gun, I wanted something for traveling to use with both my Canon 7d and G15 and this fits the bill perfectly.
Durable; Lightweight; Simple Controls
Do not be fooled by the small size of this unit, i was concerned about it as well ... until i did the first test shots. Performed very well and is compact enough for me to leave my larger speedlights at home, fits into the standard Canon camera bag with the camera itself so easy to cart around and...
