Killer Combo: Versatility, Value, Quality
Im a huge fan of good affordable primes due to the value they deliver, and judging by the amount of time this one has spent on my R since I bought it, I have to say its my current favorite. It is just so, so versatile, and the image quality is excellent.

I'm in love
I love this lens. It is compact, very light, very sharp, nice bokeh and fast focusing. It's not weather sealed but I rarely use my camera in the rain so that doesn't bother me. It may not be L build quality but it is as sharp as an L lens.
Pros:
- Durable
- Fast Focus
- Great Features
- Great Picture Quality
- Lightweight
- Nice bokeh

Great RF Lens
This is one of my favorite RF lenses. Compact, light-weight, sharp, fast, semi-macro and inexpensive. Other RF lenses are great, but all are bulkier and much heavier. There are pretty much no downsides to this little gem. A great all purpose, compact addition to my kit.

Noisy but necessary
Pros: ? This is the lightest and most compact RF lens and a great choice for street and family photos. Great pairing for EOS RP. But not a "pancake" PROS: ? This is the lightest and most compact RF lens and a great choice for street and family photos. Great pairing for EOS RP. But not a "pancake".

Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM Lens - Brand New review
I enjoyed using the Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro during my time with it. The light weight and strong image quality, combined with the affordable price, means that it deserves a place in a lot of photographers’ bags.
Pros:
- Strong optical performance in almost every metric, from sharpness to flare, Surprisingly advanced handling features for an inexpensive lens, with extensive manual controls, Built-in image stabilization is unusual for a 35mm prime and works well, Impressive close-up capabilities make it a very...
Cons:
- No weather sealing, Externally focusing design feels cheap and is less weatherproof, Vignetting is on the high side, Lens hood is not included (and if you do get one, it attaches to the moving portion of the barrel), Focusing is loud and hunts more often than most Canon RF lenses in low light,...

This will no doubt be an obvious walk-around lens for many EOS R-series users, at least for the time being while the RF lens range is still growing. With a classically popular focal length, a respectably wide maximum aperture, image stabilization and close-focusing capabilities, it clearly has broad...
Pros:
- Canon EOS R shooters that want a compact
- sharp lens for everyday shooting and closeup work
Cons:
- Architectural photographers
- or anyone that shoots in poor weather
- or regularly needs to capture video (autofocus noise can be an issue)
