Canon PIXMA PRO-100 Inkjet Printer

With the Pro-100, Canon has expanded its Pro printer lineup by cross-breeding the Pro-1 and the Pro9000 Mark II. From the Pro-1 we get the improved media handling and CD/DVD printing as well as a three-ink black and white printing option, although not the same inks.

Canon Pixma Pro-100 review

Photokina 2012 saw the launch of the A3+ Canon Pixma Pro-100, set to replace the Canon Pixma Pro9000 Mark II . The Canon Pixma Pro-100 sits under the Canon Pixma Pro-10 and Canon Pixma Pro-1 in the company's A3+ (13 x 19 inches) photo printer hierarchy, promising exceptional image quality at a more...

Canon PIXMA Pro-100 Printer

Launched at Photokina 2012, Canon's PIXMA Pro-100 is the entry-level model in Canon's PIXMA Pro series of A3+ desktop printers. The other model is the pigment-ink PIXMA Pro-10. Both models have been designed primarily for photo enthusiasts and feature a similar body design to the PIXMA Pro-1 , which...

Canon Pixma Pro-100 Review: Excellent Value

The Canon Pixma Pro-100 is a versatile printer that is more than capable of meeting the needs of the casual amateur or the avid professional.

Crisp and clean photographs; Color clarity is wonderful; Wi-Fi enabled

Bulky; My Image Garden; Matte paper prints lacking

Canon Pixma PRO-100

The Canon Pixma PRO-100 may be the new junior model in Canon's professional photo inkjet line, but as such it can still output gallery-quality prints at sizes up to 13 by 19 inches. It's a good choice for an amateur photographer who's looking to take the hobby more seriously.

Moderately priced for a near-dedicated photo printer; Outputs gallery-worthy photos; Reasonably fast

Some color issues; mostly in graphics

Canon Pixma PRO-100 Review

The Canon Pixma PRO-100 ($518.94 at Amazon) may be the new junior model in Canon's professional photo inkjet line, but as such it can still output gallery-quality prints at sizes up to 13 by 19 inches. It's a good choice for an amateur photographer who's looking to take the hobby more seriously. At 8.6 by 27.2 by 15.2 inches (HWD) when closed, it's slightly larger than its Epson counterpart, the Editors' Choice Epson Stylus Photo R2000 ($2,173.56 at Amazon) , and about the same weight. Like the R2000, it lacks an LCD; instructions and data like ink tank levels are displayed on the screen of the computer you're printing from. It offers WiFi and Ethernet as well as USB connectivity. The PRO-100 uses eight ink tanks for its dye-based inks: black; gray; light gray; yellow; magenta; photo magenta; cyan; and photo cyan. The high-end model in the series, the Canon Pixma PRO-1 , sports 12 ink tanks. Although the PRO-100's sticker price is much less than that of the PRO-1, its ink cost...

The Canon Pixma PRO-100 may be at the low end of near-dedicated photo printers geared to photo enthusiasts, but it still produces photos worthy of hanging in a gallery.

Canon PIXMA PRO-100

The printer is packaged in the usual Canon way - neatly with a lot of blue tape to remove, and with good directions, starting with the quick start installation guide.

Does the job well.

The Canon Pixma Pro-100 is a great printer. Very glad to have found it. Especially good on black and white prints but also color is very accurate. Seems quite fast compared to my old printer.

[REVIEW-CANON PIXMA PRO-100 PRINTER]

This A3+ printer uses eight dye-ink cartridges, including three black and grey inks for better monochrome printing. Canon's ChromaLife 100 inks have a claimed life expectancy of 100 years or more. The print resolution is 4800X2400, reproducing very fine detail.
