Canon Pixma Pro-100 review

Photokina 2012 saw the launch of the A3+ Canon Pixma Pro-100, set to replace the Canon Pixma Pro9000 Mark II . The Canon Pixma Pro-100 sits under the Canon Pixma Pro-10 and Canon Pixma Pro-1 in the company's A3+ (13 x 19 inches) photo printer hierarchy, promising exceptional image quality at a more...

Canon Pixma Pro-100 Review

Excellent quality prints and an affordable price are what makes the Canon Pixma Pro-100 a terrific photo printer.

Print size up to 13x19; Excellent output quality; Black inks generate excellent monochrome prints

Large and heavy; Slower print times

Canon PIXMA Pro-100 Printer

Launched at Photokina 2012, Canon's PIXMA Pro-100 is the entry-level model in Canon's PIXMA Pro series of A3+ desktop printers. The other model is the pigment-ink PIXMA Pro-10. Both models have been designed primarily for photo enthusiasts and feature a similar body design to the PIXMA Pro-1 , which...

Canon Pixma PRO-100

The Canon Pixma PRO-100 may be the new junior model in Canon's professional photo inkjet line, but as such it can still output gallery-quality prints at sizes up to 13 by 19 inches. It's a good choice for an amateur photographer who's looking to take the hobby more seriously.

Moderately priced for a near-dedicated photo printer; Outputs gallery-worthy photos; Reasonably fast

Some color issues; mostly in graphics

Great printer, great WEX Service, Canon Cashback is rubbish

This printer loses a star because of Canon's clunky and frustrating cashback. It replaces an aging Epson 1400, I needed a new printer and the extra grey cartridges were a maor incentive. Bought from WEX at the photoigraphy show - a great deal, but getting the cashback from Canon is a nightmare!

Great Features; Great Picture Quality; Simple Controls

Canon Pixma Pro-100 Review: Excellent Value

The Canon Pixma Pro-100 is a versatile printer that is more than capable of meeting the needs of the casual amateur or the avid professional.

Crisp and clean photographs; Color clarity is wonderful; Wi-Fi enabled

Bulky; My Image Garden; Matte paper prints lacking

Unreliable

I bought this printer from Henry's 18 months ago. I'd only used it about a dozen times when the printer refused to power up. The support from Canon Canada was inadequate - the printer was out of warranty and the customer support representative informed me that there were no nearby service centres...

"Fantastic printer for home use"

I purchased this printer approximately 8 months ago and I was immediately excited by the ease of set up. It took me less than 10 minutes to have all the software installed and the printer up and running. The overall picture quality is phenomenal. In my opinion this printer is a solid 5 star product.

Sharp; High quality; Easy to use

Large; Ink is rather expensive

This 13x19-inch wide-carriage model uses eight inks for vibrant colors and deep blacks. Just know that, if fade resistance is a key concern, this is a dye, not pigment, printer.

Superb photo quality; Support for oversize stock; Dye inks for vibrant colors and deep blacks; Gray ink enhances shadow detail and monochrome images; Support for wireless connectivity and disc printing

Dye-based inks are less fade-resistant than pigment ones; No LCD
