Part of my system. Replaced the previous system - EOS 5d MK III with Vivitar BG, non-OEM battery packs. Big improvement!!!
Purchased a 5D Mark IV earlier this year and occasionally had total lock ups that required the battery to be removed until the camera would come back to life. 99% of the time the shutter would go down and then it would just freeze. Completely terrifying as a wedding photographer.
This is very simple straight to the point battery. The only problem I have a feeling it's not an original Canon Battery.
It works
Not sure if it's a Canon Original
Came in nice packaging. 2018/01 manufacturing date. Comes with original battery protection cover (not shown in the image) same as what we get in the camera box. after opening did fully charge and tried 30min video recording on my 80D. Looks good.
The factory batteries from Canon cannot be beat for reliability and consistency. There may be cheaper third party models out there, but in my experience they don't measure up.
The Canon LP-E6N Battery, introduced with the Canon EOS 7D Mark II, is a replacement for the Canon LP-E6 Battery. These batteries are forward and backward compatible with the "N" version having an additional 65 mAh of storage capacity (1865 mAh vs. 1800 mAh) to its advantage.
Pros: very nice kit has all the right parts for a very good price Cons: not any Other thoughts:
These are great Canon batteries. I was having issues with other non-oem brands. I'd recommend using Canon genuine batteries for video work.
This is the new LP-E6N Battery for Canon DSLR's. It replaces the older LP-E6 battery, and is fully compatible with all the same camera models. It holds a slightly higher charge than the original, but should give similar performance.
