Canon quality
As most OEM items, the battery pack is a bit pricey. But, I trust it to last and work well as a spare for my new SX70 HS.

Great .. Worth buying
Ordered this as an extra battery for my Canon Rebel SL1, it said it would be delivered by January 30 and it actually came about a week earlier than that which was great. I have used it a few times and it's great, it last just as long if not better than the original and the extra charger that comes...

Canon LP-E12 Battery Pack
Pros: OEM. What else can I say The best products are from the manufacturer. Cons: OEM prices are much higher than third party. MUCH HIGHER!!! Other thoughts:

Holds electricity.
It fits in to the camera and didn't explode, what more could you want

Canon LP-E12 Battery for Canon EOS M Review
If you use your EOS M much, you are going to want a pocketfull of these - the EOS M is rated for only up-to-230 shots per charge.
