5d mark iii is just a fantastic camera with a super advanced auto focus system in the market... Still after 4 years leaves in smoke the newest nikons...
Bang for the buck
Weight
I would not buy a lens from Newegg because of this exact issue, I am not alone here with the shipping issues, and why they don't correct it is beyond me, or its just the old way to save a dollar and just take back what breaks, in my option how much more does it cost to use the correct size box and...
This camera is the best performing 5D currently; It will do anything you need as long as you know what you are doing; I needed a full frame camera as my business has grown and my 50D was aging.
The reason for the 1 egg, is because shipping; I received the box that was 4 times the size of the product; When I picked it up the product inside the box slide till it hit the sidewall.
A little overpriced for the meager upgrades in this camera. Nothing extraordinary-- just a revised 5D with some less-then-new Canon upgrades. Not the most exciting purchase if you already own the Mark II.
Silent ing mode; upgraded ISO levels; redesigned button layout
Terrible focus on the outer focus points when using fast primes at 50mm or wider (very poor on the 50L); Will constantly front focus, it's a known problem that makes the new autofocus system useless for wedding photographers; Works great for telephoto lenses
Dpi has nothing to do with image resolution. Dpi is a specification that we input in the file info that is relevant to a printer when a physical copy is to be printed. What matters is "X pixels by Y pixels" when it comes to sharpness of the image.
EOS 5D Mark III is the latest in the Canon`s 5D family. 5D was a huge success and after that 5D Mark II was also accepted happily by the camera lovers. Hence, there were huge expectations from the successor to these great performers.
Weatherproof Sturdy built; Better ISO range; Improved AF module; In-built Noise Reduction; Outstanding Image & Video quality; DIGIC 5+ processor- Enhanced performance
Pop-up flash missing; Slightly over priced; Does not support EF-S lenses
The 5D Mark III is one of Canon's premier full-frame DSLRs, and for this reason, it's strange to see it lag behind the competition. Despite its shortcomings in sensor tests, battery life and additional features, it remains a good option for professional photographers – especially those with a...
This camera offers more cross-type focus points than most
Dynamic range is relatively poor at just 11.7 Evs
The long-awaited successor to Canon's extremely popular EOS 5D Mark II camera is finally here. As its name implies, the company's 22-megapixel EOS 5D Mark III ($3,499 list, body only) is an evolutionary upgrade rather than a revolutionary one.
Compact for a full-frame SLR; 22-megapixel resolution; Large optical viewfinder; Bright, high-res rear LCD; Fast autofocus; 6fps continuous shooting; Excellent high ISO performance; 1080p video recording
Expensive; Slow focus in Live View and Video modes; No built-in flash; Not compatible with EF-S lenses
The Canon EOS 5D Mark III is the continuation of the 5D line which introduced the first full-frame DSLR without an integrated grip, bringing quality images to a smaller form-factor than previously possible.
Very low image noise; Excellent image sharpness; Very accurate colors; Good automatic white-balance; Spectacular subject tracking autofocus; Lightning fast autofocus; Full choice of exposure modes for movies; Class-leading continuous buffer; Large viewfinder with 100% coverage; Highly customizable...
Underexposes often; Expanded ISO of limited use; Low rear control dial; Rear dial prone to accidental changes; Complex interaction between AF and lenses; Slow instant review; Slow to power-off due to sensor cleaning
It may not look like it from the base specifications alone, but the EOS 5D Mark III is a great improvement over its predecessor in every way that counts - autofocus, exposure and ISO have all had the benefit of the technological improvements Canon has gained since the 5D Mark II was released.
Greatly improved autofocus; excellent high ISO performance
Redesigned controls may take some getting used to
