Call of Duty: WWII

The first image in Call of Duty: WWII is of the Call of Duty logo, within which can be seen black-and-white documentary footage from World War II. It's a literal representation of the way in which this franchise has come to crassly appropriate history for the purposes of entertainment.

Call of Duty: WWII

The Call of Duty (COD) franchise has always excelled in some areas and fallen short in others. The latter more notably has been the quality and believability of storytelling, with each recent iteration of the game trying to push the envelope as far as warfare goes, and adopt a more futuristic tone.

Superb attention to detail; A more engaging storyline; Sharp gameplay

Slightly short campaign; Unexpected deaths; Plane mechanics finicky

More than I expected

I am in love with this game. Being a COD player since the first Modern Warfare, I am satisfied and happy that they have returned to boots on the ground. Yes, I am aware we a re currently experiencing issues on Console with servers, but it's a new game, It will be sorted.

Call of Duty WWII Review – The King Is Back

It's been a big year for nostalgia. Crash Bandicoot played on the fond memories of gamers and had a banner year, selling better than anyone could have expected. Even Super Mario Odyssey harkens back to a simpler time in gaming and encapsulates that simple fun many remember from their childhood.

GREAT COMEBACK

So far this Call of Duty has lived up to what it should have been all along. Haven't played a great COD campaign since the ‘Modern Warfare series’ but WWII has taken the cake. The Zombies gamemode has been great and the multiplayer hasn't had too many issues what so ever. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a fresh ‘World War II’ First person shooter.

The Best Since Black Ops 1

Here's the rundown. I keep up with Call of Duty every year. Here's the generation so far. Call of Duty: Ghosts: C (Decent campaign, bland multiplayer, bad aliens replacement of zombies) Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare: B (Great campaign, smart multiplayer gimmicks, worthless zombies) Call of Duty:...

Call of Duty WW2 Review – War Has Changed Back

Call of Duty WW2 is the best game in the franchise in years. It's a return of the gameplay fans have been clamoring for, and streamlines the whole experience in a way that sheds a lot of the unwanted clutter we saw in Infinite Warfare .

Revitalized and streamlined multiplayer; Much improved Zombies mode; New features and gametypes are great

Some features are still not available; Campaign is well produced; but uninspired

Call of Duty: WWII

For the first time in nearly a decade, the Call of Duty series has returned to the bloody trenches and classic boots on the ground combat of The Second World War in response to the desires of the franchises extremely vocal fanbase.
