Bushnell 10x42 Legend Ultra HD (Realtree Camo)

I would like to share a little bit about my background before the review. I started in astronomy as a young kid with a small refractor on a wobbly mount. I left the hobby for many years and returned to it in 1999. By 2002 I became serious about astronomy and have been helplessly addicted ever since.

Brightness, clarity and resolution - nothing compares to what you see through Elite binoculars Bushnell started with a blank sheet of paper and let 50 years of excellence in the field lead them to the very pinnacle of performance in sporting optics.

Pass on these

I bought these as an inexpensive add on item, on an order I placed by phone. The eye cup adjustments are on par with something made by a toy company. They were promptly returned.

Not bad for entry-level binoculars.

Being more of a photo enthusiast than a real birder, I've relied largely on telephoto optics to spot

Multi-coated optics; light weight; good magnification for handheld binoculars; smooth adjustment

No tripod mount despite package claims

Don't expect high quality optics

These are alright but don't expect high quality optics but at this price they're still acceptable. My Meade Rainforest Pro 10x42 easily outperform them. Where I do like these is to carry around in the glove box in my car.

decent

It is okay for normal use. You do need to wear eyeglasses if you are near-sighted. The weight is on the heavy side, so not very handy if you have an active trip somewhere.
