Very happy with my purchase. Setup took no time at all and there is a great choice of templates to choose from. You can save your own template and access it any time. The labels print almost immediately.
While short on frills and connectivity options, the Brother QL-800 prints professional-quality labels in multiple shapes and sizes at a reasonably fast clip. You can't use it on a network, or wirelessly from your smartphone; you'll have to step up to either the Brother QL-810W or QL-820NWB for that...
Fast output; Good print quality; Excellent label design, print software, and mobile apps; Prints two-color, black/red labels; Good selection of label types; Good value for the price
Per-label media cost is somewhat high; Ability to print in red limited to one label type
I wasn't sure how much I would like this printer, but it's so easy to use and very handy. I particularly like the 2-color printing feature. The desk top application is easy to use, and my labels come out perfect everytime, whether I need 1 or 100.
Great product easy to use print sticker right from my tablet with an additional attachment cord
Like its higher-end QL-810W and QL-820NWB siblings, the Brother QL-800 ($99.99) is a reasonably fast label printer that churns out good-looking labels in several different types and sizes, ranging from small one-line barcodes, to address labels, and everything in between. It can print labels up to about 0.5 inch wide by 1 inch long to 2.4 inches wide by 36 inches long. As the least expensive (and therefore lesser-endowed) model of the three in Brother's QL-800 series of label printers, you give up a lot of features and aptitude for the $50 difference between it and the QL-810W, and quite a bit more still for the $100 difference between the QL-800 ($99.98 at Amazon) and the QL-820NWB. Even so, if all you need is the ability to design labels on your PC, Mac, or Android smartphone, and then print them out over USB, the budget-minded QL-800 will serve you well, making it our Editors' Choice for entry-level professional label printers. No-Frills Label Making An upgrade from the Bro...
The Brother QL-800 prints several sizes of high-quality label types from your PC, Mac, or Android mobile device via USB, making it an excellent value for its relatively low price.

I could have used better "getting started" guidance. I am gradually learning learning but I had a heck of a time getting started! But I'm old! Also, I don't buy the advice to remove label stock from printer when not in use. You waste a label every time you do that.
With very minimal use, the cord would disconnect causing this to not work at all. It shipped 5 months ago, so contacted this amazon seller I purchased it from. I wanted to make sure I receive the correct replacement. They directed me to Brother.
This machine has all the bells and whistles compared to other label makers I`ve used, but I had trouble with one thing - getting the labels to print. The concept is great with the abundance of clip art, fonts, sizes, etc, but after spending time designing labels, I became frustrated because they...
Bought this for our office and it has been great. I came back on order a second one!! Very compact sits right under my monitor, very quiet when printing, printing quality is great. The label roll is a bit of "off white" color, but other than that it is doing it's job!
