Could've been great But falls short

Seem like it would be a great product till I printed the first label. Called Customer service and they confirmed that because of the "design" that you waste an inch of label every time you print something and then you have to get out the scissors to trim the ends of excess label in the two little...

Pretty pleased with this purchase

I always thought it would be neat to have a label printer for which I didn't have to peck away at a weird keyboard (and an even weirder LCD display), so when I saw a deal on this P-touch Cube and read some good reviews, I gave it a try.
Pros:
  • easy layout compared to standalone labeler
  • optional (fun!) templates
Cons:
  • android app could use some polish
  • wifi might have been a better connection choice
  • tapes are expensive

Brother PTP300BT P-Touch CUBE Bluetooth Label Maker

Based on my review title YOU KNOW I'm only in the 'label everything' phase of using this product, and I know the coolness is going to wear off at some point but... This thing is brilliant, so easy to use much easier than the stando label writers, mostly due to the app that comes along with it.

Nice labeler

The labeler does a nice job. The iOS software, unfortunately, is not the best. My labeling needs are not intensive, so this works well for me. I particularly like the ability to add icons to labels.

Great concept, needs improvements

I was given this product as a gift, as I make a lot of my own cosmetics and oil blends etc and always struggle with how to label them. This machine should be perfect for that, but several things let it down.

Brother P-touch Cube

Overall, the Brother P-touch Cube doesn't do anything different or perform that much faster than its entry-level competitors. In fact, that it doesn't come with a USB port for connecting to computers directly renders it a little less capable.
Pros:
  • Good print quality
  • Comprehensive, easy-to-use label design and print mobile app
  • Strong selection of label types in several color schemes, including fabric iron-on labels
  • Runs on AC or battery power
  • Good value for the price
Cons:
  • Cannot use with Windows or Mac PCs
  • Requires replaceable (rather than rechargeable) batteries
