Beats Solo Pro Wireless Noise Cancelling On-Ear Headphone - Black MRJ62PA/A review

When choosing headphones, you’re gonna have to pick between on-ear or over-the-ear headphones. We’ve just about covered only over-the-ear cans for our reviews throughout the course of the site.

Beats Solo Pro Wireless Noise Cancelling On-Ear Headphone - Black MRJ62FE/A review

Build quality is superb, ANC is on point and sound isn’t bad still satisfying its bass loving fan base. I only wish they weren’t as tight like its previous Solos and still surprised it includes no audio cable whatsoever with its $300 price point.

Beats Solo Pro Wireless Noise Cancelling On-Ear Headphone - Black MRJ62FE/A review

The Beats Solo Pro makes few compromises between form and function. The design will appeal to many while the Beats moniker still informs passersby of the brand. Noise-cancelling is uniquely effective for on-ear headphones. Unfortunately, comfort is an issue after an hour.
Pros:
  • Fast Fuel charging Great ANC
  • especially for on-ears Bluetooth 5.0
  • Class 1 H1 chip
  • hands-free Siri access
Cons:
  • Microphone quality No 3.5mm input Cost

Beats Solo Pro Headphones Are on Sale for the First Time

When they first came out in 2008, Beats headphones were cool and eccentric but looked plastic-y and had too much bass to be enjoyable. Beats has toned it down and perfected noise cancellation over the years, but many of us are still rocking an old pair because $300 headphones are a lot to replace. If you've been putting that purchase off, be glad you waited: The Beats Solo Pro that just came out in October 2019 are currently $50 off at Amazon. At $249.95, they're cheaper than the Studio3, which are Beats' only other pair of noise-canceling headphones. According to Amazon price tracker CamelCamelCamel, this is the first time they've been discounted since their release. The Beats Solo line hadn't seen an upgrade in three years and Beats went hard on this massive redesign. They're chic, matte, minimalistic, and look more "pro" than Beats ever have. The active noise cancellation creates the same silent euphoria that everyone loved about the Studio3, now compacted into a practic...

Beats Solo Pro review: Too close for comfort

By making every other part of the package feel exceptional enough, the familiar problems that plague the Solo Pro become the sort of inconveniences that you’re willing to live with rather than outright deal breakers. Your mileage with the Solo Pro is ultimately going to be funneled towards a single question.
Pros:
  • Surprisingly good sound quality
  • Great material design
  • Fast pairing
Cons:
  • Can often be uncomfortable
  • Not properly sweat resistant
  • Expensive
