‘Levolution' may've made it onto the list of history's most appalling buzzwords, but after sending a skyscraper tumbling, blowing up a nuclear warhead and submerging an entire Chinese village underwater, you've got to admit, maybe DICE was onto something after all.

Battlefield 4 is just as good as Battlefield 3, if not better. Smoother mechanics make for a more entertaining war experience, as BF4 takes you back into the action all over again. Crazy multiplayer moments, that can honestly almost never be predicted. I have so much fun playing this.

This game is epic! If you have a 1080p TV, you will fall in love with the Graphics. The light, the reflections, the smoothness of game play. This is the best looking PS4 game I have played. The Multilayer is insanely good. Massive 64 Player on-line battles. Destructible environments.

After a lacklustre Call of Duty release this year, is " Battlefield 4 " also a cynical phone-in on the current gen consoles, or are DICE doing their best to deliver a next-gen experience on the aging home consoles?

- The Battlefield series has come a long way from a niche FPS shooter on the PC platform, to a bonified system seller that can stand toe-to-toe with any other FPS on the market. Not looking to rest on its laurels, EA and developer D.I.C.E.

I have to believe it is difficult to keep making games in the same franchise. You have to keep around enough of the old to entice longtime fans, but offer enough new content to make it worth buying instead of simply playing more of the last iteration.

Wonderful game, if you haven't played it yet. Even in 2017 it has an enormous number of people online playing it. especially on playstation, there is no shortage of matches out there to play in.

We are quick to visualize vehicular combat and destruction at its finest on large-scale maps when we think of the Battlefield franchise. DICE's success is not only due to providing enjoyable content, but to also be continually striving towards improving every aspect of gameplay.

- Single-player squad commands fall flat; - AI is predictable and doesn't offer much difficulty

It doesn't seem like so long ago that scores of critics were crowded into a San Franciscan cinema watching a 4K-resolution live play-through of what would later turn out to be the opening level of Battlefield 4.
