I own two of these microphones and have used them for recording vocals, acoustic guitar, amps, and just general recording of the room during practices. These are my favorite microphones in a controlled environment and are the most responsive condenser mics I have ever used.

This microphone is perfect for someone who records on the go or mainly from home. It works great in open spaces and does a good job of not picking up background noise when recording. I have used it for some small demo work in public places if I need to record a quick idea or even a voice over.

Not feature-rich; but it's obvious Audio Technica allocated costs toward delivering an affordable studio quality mic that isn't just another pretender
This is a great mic kit for the music student who wants to record and review their music skills, and can easily be used to create demo tracks. Like all condenser mics, these are sensitive to shock and dampness, so use them in a quiet indoor setting. The included Cakewalk software (LE) is awesome.

Replaced an MXL 990 with this mic.Much warmer sound and definitly alot less noise.As in the previous statement,why pay more for Heil`s overpriced stuff!
I tried to post a review before, but I'm thinking I didn't specify I was over 13, so it didn't go through. I'm 55. I bought two of these on the advice of my equipment supplier, who has never lead me wrong before. He didn't lead me wrong this time either.
