The Asus RT-N12 is a simple, affordable way to add a router to any SOHO network. For $40 it brings a lot to the table including a user-friendly interface, strong wireless coverage, router/AP/repeater mode switching, and the ability to create up to four SSID's.

My review is based on the hardware only - I do not use the ASUS firmware. I've actually purchased several of these and the first thing I do is flash it with DD-WRT. The price is absolutely right on this router. You can get it for $40 or under.

Needed a router since the Linksys WRTG didn't work properly. Bought this one since it was recommended on the forums and works flawlessly. No more connection drops like the Linksys one I purchased.

I bought this little router for a friend, who needed an inexpensive router. I installed dd-wrt firmware on it and it works like a champ. I am not sure about the stock firmware, as I upgraded it straight out of the box.

You get what you pay for !!! Devise is OK but distance was a problem even in a small home!!! Pay more and get a name brand CISCO !!!

- Some users complain that 40 MHz band does not work with DD-WRT, that either they have horrible speeds or their clients can not stay associated - but they probably just do not set their routers up correctly.

Awesome service from Flipkart guys! Ordered it on Friday and it was delivered on Sunday! No need to call any ISP guy for configuraton of this router. Pretty much simple and hassle free web configuration page. Go for it!

Best router you can buy for $40.

I was looking for a router with removable antennas and this one fit the bill; It's fully compatible with the alternative Tomato firmware (I'm running the Toastman build)

None so far; I also have the earlier version RT-N12 and it's been running for over 2 years

This router was fairly easy to set up.All required materials were in the box.The instructions were clear and easy to understand.It was set up in less than a half an hour.
