Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag PS4 Review: the definitive Assassin's Creed experience

I waxed lyrical on Ubisoft's pirate-themed adventure in my PlayStation 3 review of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag , and for good reason. Combining the very best of the historical action-adventure series' brutal, stealth-oriented components and giving players a massive, Caribbean open world to...

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag

If you have played Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag on either the PlayStation 3 or the XBox 360 and own one of the next-gen consoles, then there's no real reason to upgrade. However if you missed the game and now own the PlayStation 4, than Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is a truly amazing ride on...

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Review

( Please note, this review was written from a PS4 review build of the game, we're currently updating our "Platform Reviewed" tags - Ed. ) As a fan of the Assassin's Creed series from the problematic but potential-ridden series opener, it's been a rollercoaster ride of triumphs and tragedies as the...

Game Review: Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

Meet Edward Kenway, the son of AC3 's Haytham Kenway and the grandparent of Connor. Edward is a pirate that loves to be free, sail the seven seas and loves to live life by the pirate code. Deep down he is just a mere man, that just wants an easily (ish) life and to provide for his loved one.

A fresh uncomplicated & gripping story +Edward Kenway is likable & charismatic +Gameplay has been simplified for the better +Naval combat has also be improved +Huge open world +Tons of replay value +Beautiful Visuals

Running up the wrong wall/tree unintentionally can be very irritating; Still no crouch button

Assassins Creed IV Black Flag

Ubisoft released Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag on October 29th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U. While we reviewed Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag on PlayStation 3 ( read review ), the new release on PlayStation 4 definitely deserves a second look.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Review (PS4)

In Black Flag , the Caribbean is yours for the taking, and it doesn't take long before the game sets you loose on the world with your own ship, your own crew, and an enormous amount of things to find and do. Gone are the days of the naval portions being cordoned off from the rest of the game.

The Golden Age of Piracy, So many things to see and do around the world.; ...and a massive vibrant world to contain all these things, Free running feels improved, Beautiful visuals, Being a pirate, in every way

Tailing targets and remaining unseen gets repetitive; The freedom of the pirate makes the Assassin feel limited; Too many distractions can mean you take too long to finish a review

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Review – PlayStation 4

It's ironic that the best Assassin's Creed game in the series to date has the least to do with the core premise upon which the franchise was founded.  Sure, there are Assassins and Templars, cool hooded cloaks, fancy parkour moves, swords, pistols, and even that blue/red/gold instinctual hunter...

PS4 Version is identical to Wii U but better.

I'd played the Wii U version back in 2015 but how PS4 Stands out. But it's even better, No Slowdowns when boarding a Enemy Ship, Improved 1080p Graphics, and Better the Good 'o Gameplay the Assassin's Creed I know and love. Get it if you never played its good as of today.

Excellent Game, feels a bit different from the previous assasin creed games. The game has more in common with pirates of the carribean than assasins creed.
