I'm still waiting until we get a modern assassin game out of this universe, but until then Black Flag breathes a whole new energy back into the series. It also looks stunning on the PlayStation 4 and offers a lot of bang for your buck.

One of my biggest complaints with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was that I rarely actually cared about Edward's story as I sailed across the Caribbean. Well, I'm happy to say that the Freedom Cry DLC tells the emotional story of Adewale, Edward Kenway's one-time first mate, as it dives into some...
Powerful storytelling; Great characters; Gorgeous setting
Bland missions; Minimal exploration
As the sea-faring partner in crime to Edward Kenway, Jackdaw quartermaster Adewale often projected a sense of self that made him a ripe candidate for the assassins. Adewale is now ready to forge own path, though Freedom Cry is just a small window into Adewale's solo exploits; we don't bear witness...
Adewale is a great character to know and to play; A good mix of required and optional missions
Constant spawning detracts from the main story; Poor execution of incentivizing the freeing of slaves
The Freedom Cry DLC for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag puts you behind the scarred, tattooed visage of Adéwalé (Adé). Adé was quartermaster to the star of the main game, Edward Kenway.
Adé is a great Assassin; Inexpensive; New equipment is a good addition
Critical path is a bit short; Eavesdropping missions; Open world is kind of empty
Assassin's Creed II was the perfect sequel. It bettered the troubled original in every way and delivered a game that was as much about exploration and the wonderful sense of discovery as it was its titular killing.
Assassin's Creed IV was quite the ride. Bringing new meaning to the phrase "a pirate's life for me," it was such a step up from the third entry that many fans are now clamoring for a full-on pirate spinoff series. Honestly?
I was not very excited about this game, but I was surprised to find that it's actually really fun. This is much different from the rest of the AC games, but not in a bad way. Overall this is a very fun game and definitely worth getting.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag puts the franchise back on track with a gorgeous huge open world that's ripe for exploration. It's a must-buy for stealth-action fans.
Exciting stealth-based action; Beautiful next-gen graphics; An expansive open world.
Difficult to control player character at times; Unrealistic NPC movements and interactions
USe it daily with friends. Like the fact I can communicate with others now while playing.
Challenging; Fun To Play; Graphics; Multiplayer
If you have played Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag on either the PlayStation 3 or the XBox 360 and own one of the next-gen consoles, then there's no real reason to upgrade. However if you missed the game and now own the PlayStation 4, than Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is a truly amazing ride on...
