Arslan: The Warriors of Legend reenacts the first season of the popular anime, The Heroic Legend of Arslan. If you have any interest in seeing the anime, you may want to hold off on playing this game because it will spoil much of it!

Unrealistic but fun battle system; based off of a good anime and uses the same (Japanese) voice actors

So, let me try to line this up correctly: Arslan: The Warriors of Legend is a new Musou-style game (in the vein of Dynasty or Samurai Warriors titles) which is based upon The Heroic Legends of Arslan anime, which in turn is based upon a manga series started in 1990.

Mardan rushes are impressive to utilize; pretty good adaptation (though only if you enjoy the anime already)

No real variation between characters; lack of variety in objectives; story's presentation is half-baked; no real innovation to speak of

Prince Arslan is on a mission to retake the capital of Pars, and only the early conclusion of the anime source material can stop him. When Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends showed up on Steam in May 2014, it was something of a welcome novelty.

lacks the fluidity of the Dynasty warriors, cheaply ported in japanese, no english language viocovers. generally a weak product.. this is a shadow of teh gundum, DW, and Hyrule warrior games ... also story telling is just poor.

For those who love Tecmo koei games will enjoy this game but it will fall short from being as fun or close to the others. I would highly recommend waiting till this game is cheaper before buying it.

Arslan: The Warriors of Legend is an enjoyable take on the Dynasty Warriors genre but not worth the full price for newcomers of the original anime series. Despite its distinct character design, interesting combat mechanics and in-game rewards, lack of variety in its level design holds it back.

I will be the first to admit when I saw this game I was unsure how it was going to turn out. I have gotten games in the past that had "good" reviews and tottaly bombed and then learn they were paid reviews! gotta love that... but this game is Different.
