Apple iPhone 11 review: At Rs 64,900 in India, the iPhone 11 is way cheaper than what iPhone XR was when it launched. Here is our review of the new iPhone 11 and how it performs, especially in the camera department.
Apple iPhone 11 is the latest smartphone from Apple launched in September 2019. The device is the direct successor of last year's iPhone XS , and come with updates specifications and features in almost similar body aesthetics with the iPhone XR .
Back in 2013, alongside the iPhone 5S, Apple introduced the iPhone 5C - this handset had all the makings of a commercial success but lacked in areas where it mattered the most - a Touch ID sensor, less than stellar materials, and a lower-end chip.
This is one of the simplest reviews I've ever had to write: the iPhone 11 is the phone most people who are upgrading to a new iPhone this year should get. It's an excellent phone, with one of the best cameras I've ever seen on a smartphone and terrific battery life.
Excellent camera; Terrific battery life; Lower price
iOS 13 is buggy; Just one fairly large size; Get out of here with this 5W charger; The garden is beautiful; but the walls grow ever higher
Apple may have skipped flashy extras on this year's phones, but the iPhone 11 is the best midtier model the company's ever made.
Even faster speed, improved battery life; The iPhone 11's cameras get an excellent new Night Mode and an ultrawide-angle camera that can add extra detail in photos; Fantastic video camera.
Only Pro models get the 2x telephoto; The ultrawide-angle camera doesn’t add Night Mode; No USB-C port; The Pro phones have a faster 18-watt charger but the iPhone 11 doesn't; Still has a good (but not OLED) display.
The iPhone XR was the first commercial success that came on the second attempt for making a more affordable iPhone. The iPhone 5c failed to impress in 2013, and we thought we'd never see the maker give this idea another try.
Tougher and water resistant design; glossy back; The screen has excellent brightness and contrast; Apple A13 Bionic is the fastest smartphone chip on the planet; Excellent battery life; fast charging support; Stereo speakers with great quality; iOS provides smooth user experience; The main camera...
This is the iPhone for the average Apple smartphone user
New colours are great; Ultra wide angle camera is great; Decent price
No OLED display; Bezels are still large; No zoom lens
Apple's new iPhone 11 is, for all intents and purposes, an iPhone XR on steroids. It reiterates the simple formula that made the iPhone XR hugely popular – delivering great performance while being an affordable entry into the Apple ecosystem.
Snappy performance; Versatile dual-camera setup with Night Mode; Speakers are LOUD; Cool design and colors; Face ID is fast and reliable; Affordable pricing
Extremely SLOW charger in the box; Display leaves a lot to be desired; Battery life could be better
For what it's worth, I think 2020 is going to be a big year for iPhones. Next year's models will probably have 5G , they may be associated with some sort of AR glasses, and they'll almost certainly have a new design.
Reasonable price; New wide-angle camera option; Fastest processor available; Accurate display colors
No big increases in wireless performance; Next year's iPhone will likely mark a major change
The iPhone 11 is a powerful and appealing successor to the XR, fitted with a stronger processor and better camera arrangement. This device breaks no new ground but otherwise delivers the minimum of what you'd expect from a high-end Apple device, with the added bonus of a long-lasting battery.
Blistering power; Much-improved battery; Lower price point
Wide notch; Last-gen display; No 3.5mm jack; Lacking innovation
