I bought this few days back & I am satisfied with the product ! Though not fastest in the market, large capacity makes it a perfect HD.

Looking for a reliable and quality external hard drive that works with my PS4. I'm non-techy and after checking online and with friends. I plumped for the WD because of its reliability and also was ￡10 - ￡15 cheaper than its rivals.

I've read another review stating that this drive requires paid software " which you must use to operate the drive," and there's a lot of misinformation to that. This drive comes with trial software for cloud storage.

I've only been using it for a week, but so far it works swimmingly; My usb ports are 2.0, but the speeds on it are great and I've been running current gen games off of it with zero issues; For anyone in dire need of space but you don't want to replace your main drive quite yet, this is a good option

The case feels a tad thin and the cable it's packed in is a bit more than a foot long; It goes without saying but try not to drop this thing; You might want to look into buying another cable if you want to place your external somewhere farther away

I've had several of these USB 3 WD 2TB portables over the last couple of years, and they don't last long past the 1 year mark. I've even disassembled the device to see if I could locate which component fails. Assuming it was a soldering point, likely the USB connection itself.

I purchased this drive to use as a backup drive for photos and family video after a recent pc failure. I was pleasantly surprised to find the drive is USB powered meaning no additional power cable is required. Nice and clean. Transfer times were excellent over 90GB of data in just a few minutes.

I buy almost exclusively WD drives. I have owned more than a dozen over the years and have found that if you treat them right (don't drop, leave in hot sun, etc), they will last nearly forever.

Small, no external power needed, high capacity, good price; Best brand in the business if you ask me

A bit thicker than other 2.5" drives; but not a big deal
