I was looking for a hard disk of 1 TB capacity which was also durable. While browsing through the net I came to this hard disk from Transcend on flipkart.com. This is an amazing device. Protected by a three layer shockproof silicone cover, it is the best piece out there on the market.
I've had this drive for almost a year now. Paid $140CAD at the time. My laptop only has USB2.0 ports, and even though the drive has a dual USB plug, it only requires one to work for me.
This external storage drive is a handy dimension. The case construction is solid, though weighty. Have been able to use the drive for continuous backup without fail. Now if only it could record telepathically.
This is my second Transcend External Drive. The 2tb one is 2 years old and still going strong. The 4tb is 1 year old and also causing no problems....unlike the WD ones I have previous bought which died after about a year.
While a relatively new name in the storage industry, Transcend Information has a history that goes back more than 20 years. Founded in 1988 by Peter Shu, this Taiwanese company got its start by offering the "JetMate" laser printer driver and the "KeyPro" software protection system.
