The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (Nintendo Switch)

We've been playing a lot of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild , mostly on Nintendo Switch. Yet not everyone is buying into Nintendo's latest hardware yet, and there have been plenty of fair questions around how this game shapes up on its original home - the Wii U.

The world doesn't need another Breath of the Wild review, but it's getting one anyway. There's a reason – many reasons, in fact – that virtually everybody who plays this game hails it as one of the bestest ever made. The main one is, well… it is.

This will ruin games for you

Oh my god this game is so good. When you go back to other games you will still be thinking about Zelda BotW and be thinking why can't it be like THAT. I wasn't sure at first but the non-linear progression aspect is awesome. No grinding of content you don't want just to progress. Do what you want to do just for fun. And fun it is. Long time gamers who are fatigued at exploring and play for achieving will go back to the days of their first games and just love exploring. I haven't had that since picking up my first epic open game as a teenager. I can't recommend this game enough. I hope it's a game changer and future games use aspects of BotW because honestly I never knew I wanted a game like this but now it's all I want. And more of it. Buy this.

Though it may be the final game for the Wii U, this monumental title ushers in a new dawn of gaming on the Switch which will surely be remembered as one of the greatest launch titles in history.

Breath of the Wild: Best. Zelda. Ever.

I was anticipating a classic adventure when I sat down with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, readying myself to learn all the new mechanics the game would throw at me. I mentally prepared myself to fight through puzzle after puzzle in labyrinths of increasing complexity and confusion.

Possibly the most fun I have had playing a game

While Breath of the Wild is a bit of a departure from other Zelda games, those changes and experiments are what makes this game shine. It is super immersive and I often found entire night gobbled up by it with out noticing. A must for anyone who loves open-world games, and if you don't, this might be the game to win you over to them.
