The Tamron 90 has true macro capabilities, and unlike say a 60mm macro, allows you to stand somewhat back from your subject, for example "spookables" such as birds and insects. The 90 also has lot's of non-macro uses, especially creative portraits and subject-oriented landscapes such as a lone tree...
Consistent Output; Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Lightweight; Nice Bokeh; Strong Construction
I enjoyed traveling with this lens domestically U.S. .Great sharp images on D810, not too heavy. Currently using this to photograph stuff that my friend sells on their website. Using high f-stops, great results!
What an amazing lens. If you think that you need canon or Nikon just because they are the same brand as your camera, this lens is on their level! It is an absolute wonder to work with, actually it's become more fun than work. Smooth, fast. VC is nice.
The Tamron AF SP 90mm f/2.8 Di VC USD macro is undoubtedly a highly impressive lens and it has a easy game on an APS-C DSLR. Obviously it has been improved in a number of aspects over its predecessor. In terms of resolution, it is about as good as gets.
Aesthetically pleasing very easy to use especially in manual mode. Macro shots are very clear, which is the primary reason I bought the lens
I purchased this product from a retailer. This lens has a amazing possibilities. Great portrait lens, Produce excellent results, In fact razor sharp images. Compared to Canon macro lens this is damn cheap too. This is the latest version of Tamron macro 90mm VC, A must have for Canon macro aspirants.
Perfect for macro photography and portaiture. USD and VC features are great.
In a time when lens manufacturers, including Tamron, are pushing boundaries back, it is interesting to see Tamron introduce a new lens with the same name as the previous lens, requiring the model number to be included in references for differentiation.
Beautiful blur.
