This is an excellent Lens in comparison of Nikon 70-300 VR at a great price. I had tried both Nikon and Tamron before purchase and the AF of Tamron is better than Nikon. Also Tamron is better built than Nikon and it's 5K deare than Nikon.

This is my first and only Tamron Lens. Excellent construction and price also very good warranty. I will research additional lenses from Tamron. Highly recommended.

I bought this for my new D7000. pictures are very sharp even at 300mm and very great bokeh effect. I was considering the nikkor 70-300mm. But I am glad that I bought this. I borrowed the nikkor 70-300mm from my friend and compared this and nikkor. GO TAMRON.
I will not pretend to be an expert, but do own several Nikon cameras and lens. The Tamron SP 70-300mm anniversary edition is one, if not the best lens in my bag. Sharp, Great colors, great bokeh and fast focus, make it a joy to use.
