I brought this home, followed the directions and had full speed (70mgb) using lan cable and dropped to 55mgb using wireless. This solved my problem of no wifi signal in parts of my house. House is built with cement block walls inside and out.

I've tried these in numerous outlets and I haven't been able to get the same speeds as the router WiFi. Going from downstairs to upstairs the signal has to go through the fusebox between circuits, which is never good with these extenders.
The latest hardware version is 4. The TP-LINK support website only shows the App available against the V4 hardware. If this is important to you then ensure you get version 4 (and not V3) . This can be determined on the sticky label of the box after the model name.
