The Wi-Fi range extender works very well and it's really helpful. Good value for money.

Bought this several weeks ago for my Dad. Installed it yesterday and it received the wireless signal where a competitor's similar product wouldn't, and rebroadcast the signal more strongly. Very pleased with this range extender, as with other TP-LINK products.
i bought this during black friday for a little over $30. Bought this to upgrade from my belkin 150N. It is a little faster up to 300mb (2.4ghz) from my old 150N. I really haven't noticed if the 5.0 is faster or not, then again, I dont have an AC adapter yet.
I have no idea how this thing has so many good reviews. I bought it based on the good reviews and it sucked so now it's being returned. It wasn't even plugged in far from the modem and it was making my wifi even slower. Maybe it's just AT&T internet and it's not compatible I really have no idea.
First off I will say I am pretty good at computers.. Not a professional but better than most people. The set-up instructions look easy and have nice pictures to go along with the directions.
I have an old house with plaster walls, some of the rooms had an unreliable wifi signal. I purchased the TP-LINK product and the problem has been resolved. Set up was a bit troublesome, then again anything involving technology is troublesome for me. The process took about 20 minutes.
The night i seen this TP LINK on TV and the host was saying it works with all cable companys i orderd it.when i got it a few days latter when to set it up cant get it to work. I have fios by verizon they dont have HDMI on there routers they have coax cable that bring my internet in to my home.
Wifi is quite hard to measure. We have an n600 wifi router modem and a fairly small house (127m2). The router is in a small TV cabinet in the living room on one end of the house and we can't get wifi signal on WPA2 encryption in the master bedroom that is maybe 12m away on the other end on either...
Range extender works really well. Brought 2, only issue was connecting both, because both units showed same identity when trying to connect to home network. A few little adjustments and all is well. Both units both work well, providing good stable connections
Wifi extender was easy to set up - selected my wifi network, entered password then moved the extender to a few spots and tested wifi signal. I had weak signal in the back of my house. Now I have a good signal in back. Not much speed drop off when connected to extender according to speedtest.
