It works very well and very easy to set up with my skyQ broadband , I plugged it in at the top of the stairs and have a good strong signal in all bedrooms, we have an extension on the side of the house and that was the main reason I bought this because the signal was weak in there due to the wall...
I am using this primarily with the IOT devices in my garage. The device is farily easy to set up, however, for some functions you need to use the app and for others you must log into the device with a web browser.
Compact; Highly Compatible; Secure
Difficult to Set Up; Limited Configuration
Don't waste your time setting up as a repeater instead use as an access point. My experience was even if I had a device directly beside the TPLink my device would pick up the weaker signal from the router.
My house is big so this helps with my internet service within the house
I have no idea how this thing has so many good reviews. I bought it based on the good reviews and it sucked so now it's being returned. It wasn't even plugged in far from the modem and it was making my wifi even slower. Maybe it's just AT&T internet and it's not compatible I really have no idea.
With this, I can get my wireless signal further!
This repeater is great if you want to boost your signal to a corner of your house where it's a bit patchy Works better than I expected!
Got this to wake up a dead area in the conservatory at the back of the house. Plug in next to the router (which is also TP Link connected to Virgin cable modem). Press WPS on both. Five minutes later move extender to limit of router wifi range. Worked straight away. Good signal on both bands.
I used signal strength and speed test apps on my phone to measure before and after. Very marginal increase. Really did not improve much. Kept the same SSID as router so I didn't have multiples. Wanted to use 5mhz for TV and ROKU but 20 ft away clear path, still not strong enough.
