I use my home wifi for home office, media streaming, home automation, gaming, you name it. I couldn't be happier with this router. I get MUCH better performance, both up and down, and the range covers my entire house.

It really gets confused if you have old and new devices trying to connect at the same time. Quite often doesn't let Mac connect until power is switched off and on again
Parental controls good out of box but when you upgrade firmware it changes format for the worse.
Address Reservation only supports 9 reservation, a transparent grey over it and does not let you enter any more address reservation.
address reservation support only 9; parental con
Easy setup; Good quality; Good Price; fast delivery
I can not connect my WIFI printer
It worked well for the first month, after the second month the 2G network disappeared, which was a problem for a few devices that only support 2G. It appears the 2GHz network had burnt out, but the 5GHz was still working great.
Armed with dual Wi-Fi bands that combine to deliver (theoretical) throughput speeds of up to 3,167Mbps and a full array of I/O ports, the TP-Link AC3150 Wireless MU-MIMO Gigabit Router Archer C3150 ($249.99) is designed for homes that require enough bandwidth to handle gaming, video streaming, and...
Simple to set up; Plenty of ports; Relatively good performance; Lots of management settings
Middling 2.4GHz range performance in testing; MU-MIMO not enabled
Today we' have a new router from TP-Link on our bench and to be honest, this is my first time I've had a chance to spend some quality time with a TP-Link product. While TP-Link may not conjure up visions of excellent performance and quality, they probably should.
Great wireless performance (best we've testing on client devices; Dual-band configuration with robust guest access; MU-MIMO works well; Full file server/FTP/Print options integrated; Real bandwidth control - not just machine priority
I wish I knew it was this good sooner; It would have saved me money
For a router in this price bracket, the Archer C3150 delivers great transfer speeds and has useful features, making it an excellent choice if you need those aspects on your local network.
Good local network speeds; Useful functions
5GHz band range is only average
Priced identically to the D-Link DIR-879, TP-Link has taken this router in a very different direction. Forget the glitz and glam of D-Link's bright orange product; the archer has worn a business suit to work. It might not stand out as much, but how does it compare to D-Link's mainstream offering?
When my kids read this review in the future, they probably will be looking at this and wondering how we survived with such slow Internet. Of course by then, they will be experiencing Gigabit speeds, while their computers will be smaller than I can imagine.
