I bought this last week as a surprise for my son as he's been wanting it for ages as a reward for being good. He loves the game and was so over the moon and excited about it

Huge worlds to explore; Jam-packed with invention; Cappy changes how you play;
A bit easy at first;
This game was the reason I got a switch along with zelda botw
Being that the first Mario game I ever played was Super Mario 64, which I loved, I had very high hopes for Super Mario Odyssey, which looked to me like the 16-years-overdue direct evolution of that classic entry in gaming history.
Available exclusively on Nintendo Switch Nintendo has always been the best in the business at creating brilliantly creative open world and sandbox playgrounds. Placing its moustachioed mascot at the helm of its greatest titles, each new entry carries with it the greatest of expectations.
The best Mario has ever been; So many nods to the series' history; Hundreds of Power Moons to collect; Looks stunning; Phenomenal soundtrack
Some of Cappy's moves require motion controls
The story this time around is beyond absurd with a race of sentient hats, but we are talking about a plumber going after a giant turtle to save a princess here, so all bets are off. It's best to turn the brain off as what always matters in Mario is the gameplay.
Super Mario Odyssey is an outstanding game, one of the best video games ever created, there is so much to see, so much to do, and there is all sorts of creativity packed throughout the game that will give a "wow" factor, not only that, it's super fun to play, and as such it's a must-have game for...
This game has been so good for my kids especially the younger ones. It is an appropriate game for all ages even us parents have fun.
Super Mario Odyssey is one of those games that just quickly invites you in and lets you take in its full glory. Being the first true sequel to Super Mario 64 and Sunshine in nearly two decades, this game does little to not disappoint you.
Beautiful game; tons of available moves; lots of nostalgia
Some annoying Power Moons; co-op isn't super great; encourages motion controls too much
My review is pretty simple. I don't play it but I can't get my kids off it (pre-teens). Given that I'm taking wild shots at the star ratings based on their feedback and what I've noticed about it.
