Street Fighter V Review – Capcom Reclaims the Title for Best Fighting Game of a Generation

EDITOR'S NOTE: We're giving away a PC copy and a PS4 copy of the game. Be sure to enter! Street Fighter V is a tricky game to review. On the one hand, it is arguably the best fighting game of all-time, gameplay-wise.

Tight; balanced 2D-plane Street Fighter -perfect gameplay; Fantastic music; Lots of extra content on the way

Only available modes are online; versus; and a brief story mode; Looks like Street Fight IV

Street Fighter 5

Street Fighter 5 is deep, endlessly fun, and immensely inviting, but local competitive play is currently the primary way to enjoy it.

As inviting, accessible, and explorable as Street Fighter has ever been, Genuinely endless fun in local vs; multiplayer, New systems bring down the learning hurdles

Very limited single-player content at launch; Online performance is highly inconsistent

Arcade Edition marks the completion of a transformation from bare-bones fighting game with a rock-solid core to a fully featured example of the genre at its best. The new V-Triggers are sure to shake up the competitive scene, while the nostalgic new modes breathe new life into the single-player...

Yatta! - Street Fighter V Arcade Edition review

Wait, what year is it Street Fighter V launched on February 16th of 2016, but here we are in January of 2018 and it's time to take a look at Street Fighter V once again. Now given the subtitle Street Fighter V Arcade Edition, could this version shore up the admittedly thin launch (we gave it a 75%...

Strong roster of classic and new fighters; Overhaul of previously shaky features; Arcade mode is a nostalgic highlight; Team Battle feels like an arcade tournament; Vastly improved loading times

Fight Money economy feels a little grindy; Why are you charging for new maps

Great game, which is even better online.

The price is just right for this and the online server is great at ranking players against each other. The moves are familiar to all SF Veterans, but I still get beaten by my 7 year old bashing buttons (thankfully as he is a nightmare when he loses).

Amazing combat system

Less modes and characters than I would expect for an AAA launch but still worth it, its great.

"Awesome addition to the Street Fighter franchise"

The game itself is good fun, from the classic characters to that familiar arcade feel. Easy to understand, perfect for challenging friends and family. The only downside would be the limited roster and the DLC being too expensive. If you love fighting games, then this is a must-have!
