Yatta! - Street Fighter V Arcade Edition review

Wait, what year is it Street Fighter V launched on February 16th of 2016, but here we are in January of 2018 and it's time to take a look at Street Fighter V once again. Now given the subtitle Street Fighter V Arcade Edition, could this version shore up the admittedly thin launch (we gave it a 75%...

Strong roster of classic and new fighters; Overhaul of previously shaky features; Arcade mode is a nostalgic highlight; Team Battle feels like an arcade tournament; Vastly improved loading times

Fight Money economy feels a little grindy; Why are you charging for new maps

Down right fierce.

The first rule of fighting games is to make sure your fundamentals are rock solid. If the foundation of your play isn't on point, you'll never be considered a viable competitor. The whiffed launch of Street Fighter V showed that this mantra is as applicable to the game as it is to the people playing...

Arcade Mode is a fun; nostalgic trip down memory lane that has plenty to keep coming back for; Team Battle makes playing in big groups a cinch; V-Trigger II breathes new life into the roster; Street Fighter V is still a solid fighting game

Stages aren't included for free; Fight Money economy feels like it's pushing you to pay real money

SF used to be awesome. Now we have this

SF used to be awesome. Now we have this. Its fun for 30 min but after that you realize you beat the game and got all the costumes u can get without paying. Get stuff for Juri first, i made the mistake of saving her for last and now i cant get anymore point to unlock her other outfits.

Street Fighter 5 Arcade Edition review

It's taken Capcom way too long to drag Street Fighter 5 to where it should have been at launch. And so, it's easy to cynically dismiss this much-needed rebirth as too little, too late. But doing so does a disservice to the fantastic fighting game Street Fighter 5 has become.

Brilliant

One of the greatest fighting games series ever, not quite as good as the SFIV in my opinion as everything is going down the extra download route!

A shadow of it's former self

Disappointing. One of if not perhaps the greatest fighting video game franchise is reduced to a mere husk of a game. A poor roster of characters with so many great ones missing (no Blanka!), and many of the classic ones don't look right at all.

"Awesome addition to the Street Fighter franchise"

The game itself is good fun, from the classic characters to that familiar arcade feel. Easy to understand, perfect for challenging friends and family. The only downside would be the limited roster and the DLC being too expensive. If you love fighting games, then this is a must-have!

Review: Street Fighter V (PS4)

At the time of writing this review, Street Fighter V felt like an enhanced version of its beta release. On hindsight, this title seems to have joined the many ranks of released titles charged at a premium price but with missing content, only to be accessible later for a price.

Beautiful character modelling; Most accessible Street Fighter game yet; Fluid combat

Many core features won't be available till later; Very limited character choices; Online connectivity still needs tweaking
