Very sorry about this Len! The box and plastic cover look like too old and scratched. And the Len looks like a used one! I am very angry about that but I don't have time for sending back :(

I recently switched from Nikon D700 to a Sony A7II. Over the years I had acquired a lot of lenses for my Nikon. Starting over was rough but I am so happy I did. I know I will invest in some quality primes over the next few years but because of my previous experience I knew that starting with a long...
By the review, people recommend this product with 5 stars when I was making a decision to purchase. It is a good product because you can go from 24 to 240 mm with one lens. The weakness however which defeats the purpose of having this camera is the inability to focus quick enough and consistently.
I purchased this lens because I needed a wide range for travel photography. I really did not want to carry my 16-35, 24-70 and 85mm Batis and to be frank I do not usually shoot telephotos but have a project which needed one.
After soaking my and frying my NEX-5, and selling my Nikon stuff, I decided that the a7 was the choice for me. A quick stint with the kit lens left me disappointed, a new lens was needed. The 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS immediately caught my eye.
Perfect, new, and flawless! This lens covers a lot of different focal lengths.
Sony FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS is a Variable aperture Auto Focus (AF) Superzoom Zoom lens with Optical Image stabilization and 35mm FF max sensor coverage, and it is designed to be used with E Mount cameras. What type of photography is the Sony FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS lens good for?
Optical Image Stabilization, Weather-sealed, Autofocus, Distance Scale, Hood supplied, Covers Full-Frame Sensor, Versatile Lens with a Zoom Ratio of 10x, Lens Extends while zooming, Slow Aperture at Tele end, Variable Aperture

The lens is decent in 24-70mm range, on the same level as 28-70mm kit lens. It's satisfactory upto about 100mm. Beyond that it degrades quickly and by 150mm it becomes very soft with poor resolution and contrast. It improves a bit by 240mm, but not by much.
10x range
optically poor
Great service on time delivery
I shoot with an A7. I used to carry around the Zeiss 16-35mm, 24-70mm, and the G 70-200mm set of lenses. If I'm out shooting for a serious or paying project I still do. For casual shooting and times when I only wanted to bring the camera and one lens, I always chose the 24-70mm and then found myself...
