Sony FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS

As the only native super-zoom lens for Sony A-series cameras, the FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS is a competent, rather than spectacular, optic that's simply priced too high for us to strongly recommend it.

Practical but not great

By the review, people recommend this product with 5 stars when I was making a decision to purchase. It is a good product because you can go from 24 to 240 mm with one lens. The weakness however which defeats the purpose of having this camera is the inability to focus quick enough and consistently.

I have been a landscape photographer for several decades and I travel all over the world and lead small groups of photographers to Iceland every year. I was skeptical about the Sony system, and in particular, this lens because of the great results I obtained with my previous system.

Don't be an anorak, this is a great addition to your lens armoury even with its shortcomings.

I purchased this lens because I needed a wide range for travel photography. I really did not want to carry my 16-35, 24-70 and 85mm Batis and to be frank I do not usually shoot telephotos but have a project which needed one.

Great All-Around Lens

After soaking my and frying my NEX-5, and selling my Nikon stuff, I decided that the a7 was the choice for me. A quick stint with the kit lens left me disappointed, a new lens was needed. The 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS immediately caught my eye.

Sony FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS Lens - Brand New review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

Sony FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS Lens - Brand New review

“The iPhone 14 isn't a huge upgrade compared to its predecessor. But with a great design, screen, performance, and cameras, that's far from a bad thing at all.”

Comfortable, high-end build, OLED screen looks fantastic, A15 chip performs great, Good camera upgrades, Dependable battery life, Helpful safety features

60Hz display, No telephoto camera, eSIM might be a pain for some

Sony FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS Lens - Brand New review

The iPhone 14 isn’t much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it’s still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades

Sony FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS Lens - Brand New review

It's easy to get carried away and lose sight of just how far we've come in the smartphone world. Apple's iPhone 14 is 7.8 millimeters thick but can communicate directly with satellites, boasts photographic talents that eclipse dedicated cameras and action cams, and does so starting at just $799.

Improved low-light camera performance, Clever safety features (you hope you won't need)

Improvements feel evolutionary, eSIM may prove a headache, iPhone 13 offers much the same for $100 less
