While it’s probably the best travel compact on the market, you have to really want a compact camera to spend almost £1200/$1200 on it. The RX100 VI has a heck of a lot going for it, but it’s probably quite hard to justify the cost.
If you're looking for an ultra-compact camera that can deliver great-looking photos and video in almost any situation, and you're willing to pay a big premium for that, this is the model you should consider first.
Tiny size considering its 1in sensor; Superb photo and video quality; Fast and accurate autofocus; Useful pop-up viewfinder; Sturdy metal body;
It’s very expensive; Small buttons might irritate some; New zoom limits maximum aperture at longer focal lengths;

A great point and shoot camera with an 8x zoom that allows you to shoot from further away, but definitely take an extra battery if you wish to shoot for long hours.
Compact; Great pop-up viewfinder
Short battery life; Price; Limited touchscreen
Sony's latest wunder-compact, the RX100 VI manages to mix true pocketability with a range of powerful high-end features. But it all comes at one hell of price - £1,150 to be exactly.
High image quality from one-inch sensor; Tilting touch-sensitive screen; 4K video
Very high price; Slightly awkward handling; Limited zoom range
When I heard that Sony had finally added a touch screen and longer zoom to their ultimate compact, I immediately got on the notification list. On paper, the RX100 VI seems like a home run, and for the price, it should be. My experience - and results - have been mixed...
Best on the market right now!

Great image quality and color reproduction; Wide sensitivity range; Image stabilization; Fast AF with Eye and Face detection; Continuous shooting of 24fps; Slow motion of up to 40x; 4K shooting; Touchscreen LCD; Nice zoom range; Compact body; Has built-in flash
No weather sealing; Poor noise control; AF not good in low light; Battery life is just ok; Pricey
