Excellent results in both stills and movies for such a compact camera. Build quality is also great, grip easy to improve with the optional addon by Sony or 3rd party. However, the general Sony UI philosophy, logic and coherence or lack thereof is a big letdown.

Very good camera which is easy to use and just takes incredibly sharp pictures. Carl Zeiss is a great lens. Very satisfied with this camera and well worth the money!

This is a great little camera, the only con is that the auto focus is a bit on the slow side in low light conditions (especially when using the flash). Pictures are amazing though, even in lower light. Video is great too. Best of all, this is a pocketable camera, which was important to me.

Great picture quality yet small and convenient to carry around when I am traveling. Size does not draw unwanted attention in crowds like an SLR when traveling abroad. I did have some trouble with the auto-focus when significant glare was present.

On paper, the RX 100 II has a different sensor – a BSI one, which is supposedly great for low-light photography. There is also an additional Wi-Fi functionality which not only lets you share images with your smartphone, but also lets you control the camera with an app.
