Simply perfect !
"Bought this lens 3 days ago now. I have been waiting for this lens since I tried the 35mm 1.4 ART. My expectation was very high and the few first shots on my nikon DF did not disappoint me !

Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG HSM (Canon) - Brand New review
I imagine Zeiss must gnash their collective teeth quite strongly. They invented the Otus series which was supposed to prove that, for a quite astronomical price, you can produce an optically outstanding lens practically without any flaws.
Pros:
- solid and stylish casing,, brilliant image quality in the frame centre,, sensational image quality on the edge of APS-C,, very good image quality on the edge of full frame,, lack of noticeable problems with spherical aberration,, moderate longitudinal chromatic aberration,, imperceptible lateral...
Cons:
- too high vignetting on full frame.

The Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG HSM is a very fast and tack-sharp lens, both in the centre and at the edges of the frame, with little evidence of chromatic aberrations and virtually no distortion.
